Job Summary:The Data Governance Analyst III is responsible for collaborating with leadership to develop the Data Management and Governance programs, multi-year roadmaps and tactical plans.Essential Functions:Draft data management policies, programs, standards and guidelinesLead Data Domain Council meetingsMentor and coach Data Governance Analysts and Data StewardsLead data stewardship workgroups and teams in data management and governance activitiesBe a champion or ambassador of data management and governance principles across the organization – leading lunch ‘n’ learn sessions, knowledge sharing sessions, etc.Maintain the group focus; lead discussion toward stated goals and manage the group dynamics in facilitating working sessions with Data Stewards, business subject matter experts (SMEs), and management teamsGain an understanding of the stakeholder’s business culture and priorities, and the need for different modeling techniques when eliciting definitions and data quality requirementsAccountable and responsible for the success of specific data management programs (e.g. Data Quality Program)Perform analysis and research to support and/or develop glossary definitions, policies, programs, standards, guidelines and workflowsDevelop and report program metrics to demonstrate progress and complianceLead the development and maintenance of meta-data catalogsIdentify and quantify data related pain points within the organization and assist in the development of remediation plansCollaborate with SMEs to develop business rules that measure and assure data qualityFacilitate discussions between end users and data modelersResponsible for interacting with business and IT resources, and management to coordinate and monitor activities needed to initiate, run and conclude data management/data governance (DM/DG)Perform any other job duties as requestedEducation and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Management or related field or equivalent years of relevant work experience is requiredA minimum of six (6) years of experience in data management or governance, data analysis, data quality analysis, or technical business analysis is requiredA minimum of two (2) years of Healthcare experience is requiredHealthcare payer experience is preferredCompetencies, Knowledge and Skills:Proficient in Microsoft Office toolsetProven ability to write basic SQL queriesProven understanding of relational database theoryAbility to effectively interact effectively across all levels of the organizationProven ability to establish effective working relationships with stakeholders at different levelsAbility to manage multiple medium to large scale projectsDemonstrated ability to coordinate and lead cross-functional teamsDemonstrated sense of urgencyAbility to multi-task and juggle competing prioritiesSolid understanding of data management and governance conceptsEffective communication (verbal and written) and presentation skillsQuick learner; flexible; process oriented; highly organized and proactiveAbility to work independently and within a team environmentAbility to prioritize work to meet project deadlinesCritical listening and thinking skillsTechnical writing skills a plusLicensure and Certification:NoneWorking Conditions:General office environment; may be required to sit or stand for extended periods of timeCompensation Range:$94,100.00 - $164,800.00CareSource takes into consideration a combination of a candidate’s education, training, and experience as well as the position’s scope and complexity, the discretion and latitude required for the role, and other external and internal data when establishing a salary level. In addition to base compensation, you may qualify for a bonus tied to company and individual performance.
