We are seeking a highly skilled Software Development Engineer (SDET) to join our dedicated QA team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the high quality of our software releases. You will be responsible for developing and executing detailed smoke and regression test scenarios, maintaining comprehensive test cases, and contributing to the continuous improvement of our testing processes.This role requires working from 4:30pm-1:30am IST remotely, to support a US customer. Role and Responsibilities:Build regression automation scripts that support app functionalityTest software for validation and accuracy based on defined set of criteriaExecute smoke, regression, integration, performance and other testing types to ensure proper behavior of softwareRecord detailed documentation of feature behaviorRecord pass/fails conditions of tests and correlates failures to bug identificationIdentifies and escalates any risk to quality of the product or the processCollaborates with the product team to ensure quality throughout the SDLC and product release cyclesCollaborates with customer-facing teams to incorporate user feedback in the testing strategyParticipate in refinement and estimations of effort to promote accurate planningUtilize GitHub to maintain automation repositories, run custom scripts, and facilitate automated quality practicesParticipate in On-Call rotationRequirementsTechnical Qualifications: 7+ years of experience in a software quality assurance role5+ years of experience in automated testingExperience with programming languages such as JavaScript, TypeScript, Gherkin, SQL, Ruby-on-Rails.Experience with automated testing frameworks such as Jest/Puppeteer, Playwright, Postman, Jmeter or any other object-oriented based automated testing frameworkExperience with testing support functionalities such as Github Actions, Lambdatest, Sendgrid, Datadog, PagerDutyUnderstanding of quality management systems and quality control processesBackground in data-based testing and/or security-based testingA degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or other relevant experienceStrong written and verbal communication skillsPossess a mindset focused on holistic qualityBenefitsExciting Projects: We focus on industries like High-Tech, communication, media, healthcare, retail and telecom.
