Job Description SummaryGE Vernova is seeking a dynamic and visionary Senior Director to lead our Commercial & Regulatory Services function within the Product Cybersecurity organization. This high-impact, HQ-based role serves as the connective tissue between GE Vernova’s diverse business units and the rapidly evolving landscape of cybersecurity commercial obligations, customer-facing requirements, and global regulatory mandates.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in cybersecurity contracting and compliance, a strategic command of the emerging regulatory environment, and an explicitly AI-forward mindset. This leader will be expected to actively identify and deploy intelligent tooling, automation, and AI-enabled workflows to reduce friction in customer engagements, accelerate business unit regulatory readiness, and position GE Vernova as a cybersecurity-trusted partner across every sector we serve. Embracing AI is not optional in this role — it is a core competency and a strategic imperative.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesCommercial ServicesLead the strategy and response for complex customer cybersecurity contract proposals (MSAs, SOWs, and RFPs).Serve as the authoritative voice in contract negotiations, balancing risk, liability, and market competitiveness.Deploy AI-assisted tools to automate and accelerate responses to security questionnaires, contract reviews, and risk analyses.Partner with Legal, Finance, and Sales to align cybersecurity contract positions with deal strategy.Regulatory ReadinessMonitor and interpret global cybersecurity regulations (NIS2, NERC CIP, IEC 62443, EU CRA, etc.) into actionable business guidance.Design and operationalize a regulatory readiness framework, helping business units assess gaps and build remediation roadmaps.Utilize AI-enabled tools for continuous gap analysis and prioritized compliance reporting.Represent GE Vernova’s cybersecurity regulatory perspective in industry and government forums.Cross-Business Unit EnablementAct as the HQ liaison for commercial and regulatory matters, ensuring a consistent enterprise security posture.Harmonize cybersecurity obligations across business units for shared customers to reduce conflict and duplication.Build intelligent knowledge management systems and AI-augmented tools to empower business units to self-serve.Establish governance and escalation paths to ensure all engagements align with enterprise policy.QualificationsRequired10+ years of progressive experience in cybersecurity, focusing on commercial, regulatory, or policy-facing roles.Proven track record managing cybersecurity contract negotiations in industrial, energy, or critical infrastructure.Deep expertise in energy-sector regulatory frameworks (e.g., IEC 62443, NERC CIP, NIS2, EU CRA).Exceptional communication skills with the ability to distill complex technical/legal concepts for executive audiences.Strong stakeholder management skills in a global, matrixed organization.Bachelor’s degree in a technical, legal, or related discipline.PreferredEnterprise-level experience in the energy, utilities, or industrial technology sectors.Practical experience applying AI/ML tools to compliance and knowledge management workflows.Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, CISM, CRISC).Advanced degree (JD, MBA, or Master’s).Experience building and scaling commercial cybersecurity programs from the ground up.Additional InformationGE Vernova offers a great work environment, professional development, challenging careers, and competitive compensation. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas.
