Medical/Behavioral Health Billing Specialist (REMOTE)

This position will be part time, REMOTE, and a contracted one.(not employee). The ideal candidate would already be performing this function for other providers and/or re\-entering the workforce. The compensation details and pragmatics of the position can be negotiated and discussed. This is a unique opportunity for an individual who is motivated to work with a small company with an intimate work environment, who wants to make a mark within the company. **Core Responsibilities** * **Insurance Verification:** Confirm active patient coverage and secure eligibility before appointments. * **Claim Generation:** Translate internal data into claim submissions utilizing appropriate coding. * **Payment Posting:** Process and review remittances for accuracy and efficiency. * **Denial Management:** Investigate rejected claims, correct discrepancies, and file formal appeals. * **Patient Support:** Role in explanation of benefits (EOBs). **Requirements** * Required Skills \& Tools * **Technical Knowledge:** High proficiency in medical/Behavioral Health terminology and coding standards (ICD\-10, CPT). * **Software Competency:** Experience with EZ Claim or related billing software. Preferred experience with Medicaid billing (not mandatory). Experience billing CCBH managed care (preferred, not mandatory) * **Compliance:** Strict adherence to privacy laws including HIPAA regulations. * **Soft Skills:** Exceptional numerical accuracy, detail orientation, and clear communication. * Familiar with Excel Spreadsheets * Strong attention to detail * Excellent communication and problem solving skills * Billing coding skills * Familiar with diagnosis codes (preferred, but not required) * IBHS terms * Data Entry Join our team as a Medical/Behavioral Health Billing Specialist to ensure seamless billing operations that support our commitment to delivering exceptional behavioral health services remotely!
