Job Description
The Engineer will design and deliver modern, cloud-native solutions using TypeScript and AWS to power critical health insurance claims platforms. This role focuses on building scalable, event-driven systems that enable accurate, real-time claims processing and seamless customer experiences.You’ll help modernize core claims capabilities; driving improvements in processing speed, data accuracy, and operational efficiency while working at the intersection of engineering, data, and business operations.WHAT WE CAN OFFER YOU:Estimated Salary (Levels have variable responsibilities and qualifications) Engineer I: $95,000 - $115,000, plus annual bonus opportunityEngineer II: $115,000 - $130,000, plus annual bonus opportunity401(k) plan with a 2% company contribution and 6% company match.Work-life balance with vacation, personal time and paid holidays. See our benefits and perks page for details.Applicants for this position must not now, nor at any point in the future, require sponsorship for employment.WHAT YOU’LL DO:Design, develop, and maintain scalable Salesforce solutions including Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), and declarative configurationsBuild and support integration between Salesforce and enterprise systems using APIs, middleware, and event-driven architectures (e.g., MuleSoft or similar)Apply software engineering and DevOps best practices, with a focus on automation, performance, and reliabilityEnhance Salesforce capabilities to support sales and service salesforce cloud, onboarding workflows, and core business processesCollaborate with business analysts, product owners, and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical designsExtend and optimize Salesforce data models, automations, and workflows to meet evolving business needsMaintain and modernize existing Salesforce implementations and integrationsDevelop and execute test strategies, including unit testing (Apex), integration testing, and regression suitesMentor and support team members by sharing Salesforce and development best practicesWHAT YOU’LL BRING:3+ years of experience developing within Salesforce in an enterprise environmentProficiency in Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC), SOQL/SOSL, and Salesforce platform capabilitiesExperience with Salesforce integrations using Mule APIs and integration patternsFamiliarity with DevOps tools and CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub, Salesforce DX, Copado, or equivalent)Experience working with CRM platforms, evolving systems, and data integration strategiesAgile mindset with experience using tools such as JIRA and ConfluenceStrong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex issuesAbility to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiencesCuriosity, accountability, and a strong sense of ownershipCommitment to fostering a diverse, inclusive, and collaborative team environmentAbility to work remotely with access to reliable high-speed internetYou promote a culture of diversity and inclusion, value different ideas and opinions, and listen courageously, remaining curious in all that you do.Able to work remotely with access to a high-speed internet connection and located in the United States or Puerto Rico.PREFERRED:Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform Developer I/II, App Builder)Experience with MuleSoft or other middleware platforms for integrationCI/CD and release management experience in Salesforce environmentsExperience optimizing business processes using Salesforce automation tools (Flow, Process Builder migration, etc.)Ability to challenge and improve team processes and drive continuous improvementDemonstrated ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to changeThis role is classified as remote; however, periodic in-person attendance will be required at times for activities such as quarterly or project planning, training, or other business-critical meetings.We value diverse experience, skills, and passion for innovation.
