QA Test Engineer

QA Test Engineer **Remote** Blu Omega is seeking a QA Test Engineer to support the FDA’s Regulated Product Submission (RPS) program. This role is responsible for ensuring the quality and functionality of mission\-critical federal applications within a structured testing environment. **Program Overview** The FDA’s RPS program facilitates standardized electronic submissions for products like drugs and biologics to improve review efficiency and lifecycle management. **Key Details** Location: Remote Clearance / Suitability: Public Trust eligibility required **Responsibilities** * Translate business and functional requirements into test scenarios, test cases, scripts, and test data. * Perform functional, integration, regression, data, system, and user acceptance testing across full\-stack applications. * Validate backend data using SQL, including source\-to\-target comparisons and application\-to\-database verification. * Test REST APIs and web services using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools. * Identify edge cases, negative scenarios, data issues, and requirements gaps. * Troubleshoot defects across frontend, API/service, and database layers and document findings for development teams. * Develop and maintain automated regression tests using Selenium or similar frameworks. * Execute performance, load, and scalability testing using JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar tools. * Support 508 accessibility testing and participate in Agile ceremonies, testing estimates, and release activities. **Required Qualifications** * 6\+ years of hands\-on software testing and quality assurance experience. * Strong experience developing test plans and understanding complex business requirements. * Experience testing full\-stack web applications including frontend, API/service, and database layers. * 3\+ years of experience with SQL, database validation, schemas, and source\-to\-target data verification. * 3\+ years of API/web service testing using Postman, SoapUI, or similar tools. * 3\+ years of experience with Selenium or similar automated testing frameworks. * Experience with JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar performance testing tools. * Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis skills. * Experience working in Agile environments using Jira and Confluence. * Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust or required government suitability determination. **Preferred Qualifications** * Active FDA badge/credentials. * Experience testing React and Node.js applications. * Experience with 508 accessibility testing using tools like WAVE, AMP, NVDA. * Use of AI\-assisted development tools such as Claude Code or Codex for test development. * Python or other scripting experience. **Compensation** Salary Range: $120,000\.00 \- $135,000\.00 Final compensation is based on technical skills, experience, education, certifications, and clearance. **Company Overview** Blu Omega is a Woman\-Owned Small Business (WOSB) providing cybersecuri
