Here's what you can expect as a Clinical Operations Director at DaVita:JOB SUMMARYThe Clinical Operations Director - Hospital Services provides leadership and operational oversight for multiple acute programs within designated hospital service areas. This position ensures excellence in patient care, financial performance, regulatory compliance, and team engagement. Working in partnership with divisional and hospital leadership, the Assistant Director supports DaVita’s mission of delivering quality outcomes and strong hospital partnerships.GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOBResponsible for overseeing the management of multiple acute programs including financial management, risk management, quality assurance, growth, patient care, and teammate engagement. Provides leadership and direction to ensure safe patient care, a positive team culture, and strong hospital partner relations.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESThe essential duties and responsibilities of this position include but are not limited to the following:Financial Management (25%)• Formulate and manage regional budgets in compliance with DaVita policies. • Oversee expense reports, payroll, and charge submissions for accuracy andethical standards.• Provide financial training to Hospital Services Administrators and ensureadherence to company standards.Growth (20%)• Shape and execute strategic plans for growth in partnership with the DivisionVice President.• Expand service offerings with current hospital partners and support newpartnership negotiations.• Influence hospital and physician relationships to enhance DaVita’s brandreputation.Risk Management & Quality Assurance (10%)• Ensure compliance with all legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards. • Coordinate audits, reporting, and corrective actions with state and federal aagencies.• Oversee compliance with OSHA, Joint Commission, and Worker Compensation requirements.Team Management (25%)• Supervise clinical and biomedical teams to ensure quality, cost-effectivepatient care.• Direct hiring, training, evaluations, and performance management. • Ensure ongoing education in nursing practices, patient safety, and regulatorystandards.Patient Care Management (10%)• Partner with Medical Directors to ensure appropriate treatment modalities. • Collaborate with hospital partners on policies for continuity of care. • Maintain proactive communication with healthcare professionals regardingpatient outcomes.Quality Outcomes & Patient Safety (5%)• Represent DaVita on matters of quality and patient safety. • Support implementation of quality initiatives and audits. • Partner with national clinical teams to develop and revise clinical policies andprocedures.Other Duties as Assigned (5%)EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE• Current RN license in the state of practice required.• Bachelor’s Degree required; Master’s Degree preferred.• 4–8 years of relevant experience in acute or hospital services management.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, TRAINING, OR QUALIFICATIONS• One year of acute hemodialysis experience required. • Experience in CQI methodology and working within a hospital environment. • Demonstrated ability to teach adult learners and communicate complexinformation clearly.• Scheduling flexibility and ability to travel as required.TRAVEL AND TIME REQUIREMENTS• Travel: Moderate, as needed for hospital site support and audits.• Nights/Weekends: Occasional based on operational needs.LANGUAGE SKILLS• Fluent in written and verbal communication necessary to perform essentialduties.WORK ENVIRONMENT• Moderate noise level typical of office or healthcare environments. • Minimal exposure to blood or hazardous conditions. • Reasonable accommodations will be provided for individuals with disabilities.VISUAL AND PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS• Vision adequate for performing job duties; ability to distinguish colors whennecessary.• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs unassisted and perform standing, walking, stretching,and keyboarding tasks.Here is what you can expect when you join our Village: • A "community first, company second" culture based on Core Values that reallymatter.• Clinical outcomes consistently ranked above the national average. • Award-winning education and training across multiple career paths to help youreach your potential.• Performance-based rewards based on stellar individual and teamcontributions.• A comprehensive benefits pac
