Assistant Bookkeeper

This is an entry\-level position at a small, young accounting firm focused on providing tax and accounting services. I am looking to hire someone willing to learn and potentially grow into a full\-time role as the business grows. The plan for your employment would be to work with the owner to learn the duties listed below in person; once you and the owner are confident that you understand the duties and can operate the software, your position would move to a fully remote position with required monthly meetings to chat and discuss any questions or issues. Duties will include: * Maintaining QuickBooks Online activity for clients with oversight * Monthly reconciliations of accounting activity * Scanning and filing documents. * Preparing accounting workpapers at the direction of the manager. * Assisting in the preparation of tax returns depending on the time of year.
