Together, we aim to be the first to do the right thing at the right time.Join the home for entrepreneurs!The Senior Solution Engineer is a critical technical consultant within the Automation Sales organization, responsible for developing advanced, data‑driven warehouse automation solutions for prospective and existing customers. This role requires deep knowledge of material handling automation, robotics, AS/RS, AMRs/AGVs, conveyors, sortation, and the software platforms that orchestrate these systems. The Senior Solution Engineer partners closely with Sales, Product, R&D, and Implementation teams to translate complex customer operations into optimized system designs that improve throughput, accuracy, labor efficiency, and ROI.Your role in our teamYou will lead end-to-end project activities during all phases of Sales Engineering, including customer discovery, solution design, and proposal developmentYou will work closely with customers to understand business objectives, operational requirements, and system performance goals through discovery workshops and on-site assessmentsYou will analyze customer operational data (in collaboration with internal analysts) to determine system requirements such as storage capacity, throughput, item velocity zoning, and workflow optimizationYou will design and evaluate automated material handling solutions, including robotics, shuttle systems, AS/RS, AMRs/AGVs, palletizing/depalletizing systems, and automated sortation technologiesYou will develop and review system concepts, including material flow diagrams, process flow charts, system layouts, and CAD drawings, ensuring designs meet operational and performance requirementsYou will perform system modeling, simulation, or capacity analysis to validate design assumptions and ensure proposed solutions meet throughput and operational targetsYou will develop integrated system solutions by selecting appropriate technologies, gathering equipment and implementation costs, and ensuring overall solution feasibilityYou will prepare and present proposal packages, including system descriptions, scope of work, pricing, ROI analysis, and business value, and present solutions to customer executive and operational teamsYour profileYou have obtained a bachelor's degree in engineering or a related disciplineYou have gained a minimum of 5 years of related work experienceYou have strong experience in AutoCAD and familiarity with simulation software You can travel domestically and internationally to customer sites for support visits (1-3 trips per month for 1-2 nights per trip)You have strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with the capability to operate effectively in a fast-paced environment and meet project timelinesYou know material handling systems and technologies, process management and improvement, and system analysisYou have a strong understanding of distribution center operations, including picking strategies, storage technologies, and order fulfillment processesYou have background and experience in material handling engineering, industrial automation, supply chain engineering, or related fields, including designing systems for high-volume fulfillment, manufacturing logistics, or warehouse automation environments, and supporting automation solution selling or presales activitiesYou have strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel, plus working knowledge of PowerPoint and Microsoft Access (including database query development)You have experience collaborating with software engineering, controls, project management, and innovation teams to develop and implement automation solutionsYou have excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills, with the ability to work professionally with cross-functional teams and stakeholdersEligible applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
