**Job Title:** 1099 Federal Proposal Manager \& Technical Writing SME (Instructor \& Surge Lead) **Engagement Type:** 1099 Independent Contractor Only *(No C2C, No B2B, No Staffing Agencies)* **Location:** Remote / Hybrid (Huntsville, AL Alignment) **Overview:** PTM Academy is seeking APMP\- or Shipley\-trained proposal professionals to teach our 60\-hour Federal Proposal and Technical Writing module and provide high\-stakes proposal surge support for defense contractors. **What This Role IS NOT:** * This is **NOT** commercial marketing, copywriting, or grant writing for non\-profits. * This is **NOT** an entry\-level writing position. * This is **NOT** open to C2C placement agencies. **Key Responsibilities:** * Train students and junior professionals on RFP/SOW analysis, compliance matrix generation, win\-theme development, technical writing, and Color Team review execution. * Facilitate practical workshops that teach students how to convert technical engineering inputs into compliant, high\-scoring federal proposal volumes. * Serve as a 1099 surge Proposal Manager, Volume Lead, or Technical Writer for prime contractors on critical federal bids. **Qualifications:** * 7\+ years of winning proposal management and technical writing experience in the federal/DoD contracting market. * Formal proposal training (Shipley methodology, APMP certification preferred). * Demonstrated track record of leading complex federal proposals ($10M\+ contract values). * Must operate as an independent 1099 consultant. www.ptmacademy.org Pay: $65\.00 \- $125\.00 per hour Benefits: * Flexible schedule Work Location: Remote
