**About the Role**
------------------
As an **Accounting Specialist**, you'll manage the recurring accounting work that keeps our clients' financial records accurate, organized, and up to date. You'll oversee a portfolio of small business clients, maintain their books in QuickBooks Online, prepare monthly financial reports, and serve as a trusted resource for accounting\-related questions.
You'll work closely with our Lead Accounting Specialist, Financial Planner, Client Service Specialist, Tax Preparer, and outsourced Bookkeeper to deliver a consistent, high\-quality client experience.
**What You'll Do**
------------------
* Manage monthly bookkeeping for a portfolio of small business clients using QuickBooks Online
* Review transactions, reconcile accounts, and maintain accurate financial records
* Prepare and deliver monthly financial reports and performance summaries
* Complete quarterly budget reviews, expense tracking, bookkeeping clean\-up, and tax strategy journal entries
* Perform year\-end accounting tasks, including equity reconciliations, 1099 preparation, loan interest journal entries, and annual bookkeeping reviews
* Participate in client meetings via Zoom and respond to accounting\-related client questions
* Collaborate with team members and review outsourced bookkeeping work to ensure accuracy and consistency

**What We're Looking For**
--------------------------
* Experience with QuickBooks Online and bookkeeping or accounting workflows
* Strong understanding of financial statements, including Profit \& Loss, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow reports
* Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy
* Ability to manage multiple clients and recurring monthly deadlines
* Strong written communication skills
* Familiarity with the Profit First methodology is a plus
* Organized, self\-motivated, and comfortable working independently in a remote environment
* A collaborative team player who communicates openly and takes ownership of their work
