About the Role Homestead Construction LLC is hiring a part\-time remote Bookkeeper to support financial recordkeeping for a remodeling and construction business serving homeowners across the Phoenix Metro area. This role supports bookkeeping for kitchen remodels, bathroom remodels, whole\-home renovations, custom cabinetry work, historic renovation projects, vendor purchases, client deposits, contractor invoices, job\-related expenses, and monthly financial records. The role works well for someone with bookkeeping experience, QuickBooks knowledge, construction or service\-business familiarity, and strong attention to detail. The Bookkeeper will help keep financial records current, organized, and ready for management review. Job Description The Bookkeeper will handle routine financial recordkeeping for a construction and remodeling business with active client projects, vendor activity, material purchases, service invoices, deposits, and project\-related expenses. The work includes entering approved transactions in QuickBooks, reviewing receipts, tracking vendor bills, organizing payment records, reconciling accounts, and keeping digital bookkeeping files clean. This role also supports project\-based financial organization. Remodeling work often includes estimates, deposits, change orders, material purchases, subcontractor or vendor charges, permit\-related costs, progress billing, and final payment records. The Bookkeeper will help keep those details organized so management has accurate records for each project. Daily and weekly work will include: * Entering income, expenses, deposits, credits, vendor bills, reimbursements, and approved adjustments in QuickBooks * Tracking payments connected to remodeling projects, cabinetry work, consultations, signed contracts, deposits, and construction phases * Organizing receipts and invoices for materials, cabinetry supplies, fixtures, hardware, subcontractor work, vendor purchases, tools, permits, and job\-related costs * Reconciling bank activity, credit card transactions, payment records, and QuickBooks entries * Reviewing records for missing receipts, duplicate charges, unclear categories, incorrect dates, or incomplete notes * Maintaining accounts payable records, unpaid bill lists, vendor records, payment due dates, and supporting documents * Supporting accounts receivable records, including client payments, deposits, progress payments, final payments, and billing follow\-up notes * Preparing simple weekly or monthly bookkeeping summaries for management * Keeping invoices, receipts, contracts, statements, reports, and project\-related financial files organized in approved digital folders * Communicating clearly when a transaction, invoice, payment, or project record needs review before entry The Bookkeeper will work remotely but should stay responsive during agreed work hours.
