This position will be onsite at our facility in **Indianapolis, IN.** **JOB DUTIES:** * Author, edit, and develop IETMs and TMs for NAVAIR equipment, to cover maintenance, operation, repair, theory of operation, troubleshooting, and Illustrated Parts Breakdown (IPB) in accordance with MIL\-STD\-3001 requirements. * Author, prepare, review, revise, and develop IETMs and TMs for NAVAIR equipment from source data such as Logistics Product Data, Engineering Drawings, and Maintenance Plans for equipment operation and maintenance. * Create and update NAVAIR MIL\-STD\-3001 XML documentation with complete understanding of XML tags and how to apply to text. * Coordinate content creation across multiple documents continuously with competing deadlines. * Perform quality reviews and peer reviews across technical and non\-technical documents. * Evaluate document quality based on accuracy, substance, and quality of written content. * Create narrative content using Subject Matter Expert (SME) interviews to author and validate with technical system engineers, architects, and other SMEs. * Create agendas, meeting minutes, initial technical publication outlines, and incrementally create, validate, update, and review document content. **Qualifications** **REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:** * Bachelor's degree and six (6\) years or more related experience; will accept additional years' experience in lieu of a degree. * Candidate must be a US Citizen. * Team\-oriented, self\-starter, with excellent verbal and written communication skills. * Experience with Microsoft Office products and desktop publishing software. **DESIRED EXPERIENCE:** * Previous experience creating and editing NAVAIR IETMs and TMs. * Proficient in use of PTC Arbortext or similar XML authoring software. * Recent knowledge of and experience with Naval Air Technical Data and Engineering Service Center (NATEC) documentation standards and procedures. * Current knowledge of and experience with Naval \& Marine Corps aircraft systems. * Experience developing Logistics Support Analysis Records (LSARs) for Acquisition Logistics. * Experience creating illustrations for technical publications using software such as Adobe Illustrator and Corel.
