Principal Technical Program Manager – Core Services & Enterprise ArchitectureQualified candidates must be legally authorized to be employed in the United States. The company does not intend to provide sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H-1B, TN, etc.) for this employment position.What You Will Do:The Principal Technical Program Manager (TPM) for Core Services & Enterprise Architecture is a strategic partner across IT and business organizations, responsible for the vision, roadmap, and strategy of foundational software and services that power Allegion’s technology ecosystem. You will move beyond simple coordination to architecting program frameworks that ensure scalability, security, and performance. As a TPM for Core Services, you will be the primary intersection between product and business stakeholders, enterprise IT, and Core Services engineering teams aligning complex technical dependencies across global teams and ensuring that our core infrastructure enables rapid innovation for internal business partners to meet customer needs. As a TPM for Enterprise Architecture, you will be a business advocate for enterprise architecture tooling and processes enabling rapid innovation for internal business partners to meet customer needs and impact overall company direction.Responsibilities:Strategic Roadmap Ownership: Lead the definition and evolution of the Core Services roadmap, ensuring technical debt, scalability, and innovation are balanced against business priorities.Enterprise Architecture Advocacy: Act as a business advocate for Enterprise Architecture tooling and processes. Develop strategies for project execution to drive the adoption of EA standards, ensuring they provide tangible business value and streamline enterprise-wide delivery.Cross-Functional Orchestration: Lead highly visible, cross-functional project teams dealing with notable risk and complexity. Proactively identify and resolve "blind spot" dependencies that span multiple business units and enterprise systems.Influence & Decision Making: Drive critical product and architectural decisions by translating complex technical trade-offs into business impact. Anticipate potential barriers and influence executive leadership to drive company direction and adopt new ways of thinking.Complex Problem Solving & Innovation: Proactively identify and solve unique and complex problems with broad impact on the company by thinking beyond existing solutions when evaluating "build vs. buy" and system integrations.Operational Excellence: Establish and institutionalize best practices, templates, and governance models to be used across Core Services and align with existing enterprise policies and frameworks.Technical Leadership: Act as a subject matter expert in the software delivery lifecycle, guiding engineering teams through complex "build vs. buy" evaluations and system integrations.Alignment & Transparency: Establish and lead a communication framework for Core Services, ensuring stakeholders at all levels have transparent visibility into program health, technical dependencies, and the 'why' behind prioritization decisions.Team Leadership & Mentorship: Provide day-to-day direction, strategic guidance, and mentorship to product owners and business analysts. Drive the strategy for project execution by clearly outlining goals, setting performance expectations, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and technical rigor.Risk Mitigation: Move beyond "identifying issues" to predicting and neutralizing systemic risks before they impact delivery timelines.What You Need to Succeed:Bachelor’s degree (Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent experience). 15+ years of software engineering, systems engineering, IT, or technical product/program management experience.Advanced systems thinking and the ability to solve ambiguous, non-routine problems that affect multiple systems.Demonstrated experience in software architecture and IT systems frameworks, patterns, tooling, and processes, with a proven track record of advocating for their adoption across business unitsStrong storytelling and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex technical concepts into compelling business cases for executive audiences.Advanced systems thinking and the ability to solve ambiguous, non-routine problems that affect multiple systems.Proven ability to influence senior leaders and stakeholders without direct authority.Is comfortable with and can successfully work on a geographically distr
