Now, customers can achieve identity-centric security with trusted, proven technology in each major category.We are seeking an experienced Tax Director to lead the global tax function for our mid‑market software company. This role oversees all aspects of tax strategy, compliance, planning, and reporting across multiple jurisdictions. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in U.S. and international tax, understands the complexities of SaaS/software business models, and is capable of building scalable tax processes to support continued global growth.ResponsibilitiesTax Strategy & PlanningDevelop and execute the company’s global tax strategy to support business objectives, international expansion, and operational efficiency.Provide strategic tax guidance to executive leadership on corporate structure, product strategy, transfer pricing, cross‑border operations, and emerging tax regulations.Evaluate tax impacts related to mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, and new market entry.Tax ComplianceOversee timely and accurate filing of all federal, state, and international income and indirect tax returns.Manage global VAT/GST/sales tax obligations, including nexus analysis, registration decisions, and ongoing compliance.Ensure documentation and processes align with global tax requirements and internal control expectations.Tax Accounting & ReportingLead quarterly and annual tax provision processes under ASC 740.Coordinate with Accounting to ensure accurate tax disclosures in financial statements and audit materials.Maintain strong internal controls and SOX‑compliant processes (as applicable).International Tax & Transfer PricingDesign, implement, and maintain global transfer pricing policies aligned with business operations.Oversee preparation of transfer pricing documentation and defend methodologies as needed.Collaborate with global finance teams to ensure consistent and compliant tax practices across regions.Audit & Risk ManagementManage federal, state, and foreign tax audits, notices, and inquiries.Monitor changes in tax laws and evaluate business impacts, communicating relevant updates to executive leadership.Assess and implement tax technology tools to improve accuracy, automation, and scalability.Leadership & CollaborationBuild, lead, and develop a high-performing tax team or network of external advisors.Partner closely with Accounting, FP&A, Legal, HR, and business units to support tax‑efficient decision‑making.Champion tax awareness across the organization and support cross‑functional initiatives.QualificationsRequiredBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.10+ years of progressive corporate tax experience, including significant exposure to international tax.Expertise in U.S. federal and state tax, ASC 740, and multinational tax considerations.Experience in the SaaS or software industry or other complex, IP‑driven business models.Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders.PreferredCPA, JD, or Master’s in Taxation.Experience in both public accounting and corporate in‑house roles.Familiarity with revenue recognition, indirect tax for software/SaaS, and tax technology tools.Experience supporting M&A tax structuring and integration.What Success Looks LikeScalable, efficient global tax operations aligned with business growth.Accurate, no‑surprise tax reporting and strong audit outcomes.Proactive tax planning that informs business strategy and reduces risk.Strong relationships across the organization and effective leadership of internal/external tax resources.Company Description One Identity enables organizations of all sizes to better secure, manage, monitor, protect, and analyze information and infrastructure to help fuel innovation and drive their businesses forward.
