We are seeking a dependable, detail\-oriented Accountant/Bookkeeper to support our day\-to\-day accounting operations and help maintain the accuracy and integrity of our financial records.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys working independently, thrives in a fast\-paced environment, and has experience handling full\-cycle bookkeeping and accounting functions.
**Position Overview**
The Accountant/Bookkeeper will be responsible for supporting accounting operations including Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, account reconciliations, journal entries, financial reporting, and maintaining accurate accounting records. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, excellent attention to detail, and a solid understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
**Key Responsibilities**
* Manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable
* Review customer accounts and resolve billing issues in a timely manner
* Prepare and process invoices, payments, credits, and refunds
* Monitor and follow up on delinquent accounts
* Verify transaction information and prepare disbursements for payment
* Maintain and reconcile General Ledger accounts
* Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations
* Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and financial accounts
* Investigate and resolve account discrepancies
* Prepare financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information
* Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documentation
* Assist with month\-end and year\-end closing activities
* Ensure compliance with company accounting procedures and internal controls
* Maintain database backups and financial security protocols
* Support audits and other accounting\-related projects as needed
* Perform additional duties as assigned
**Qualifications Required**
* Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping, accounting, or related experience
* Experience with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and account reconciliations
* Experience maintaining General Ledger accounts and preparing journal entries
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel
* Strong analytical and mathematical skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
* Understanding of full\-cycle accounting processes
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
