Role SummaryResponsible for analyzing, optimizing, and troubleshooting mobile data connectivity processes (APN settings, IP allocation, GGSN/PGW interactions) to ensure seamless user experience and efficient network operations.Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Telecommunications, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Experience: 6+ years in mobile network operations, RAN, core network support, or as a technical analyst. Preferred knowledgeKnowledge in APN & Process enhancements. Knowledge of IMS (IP Multimedia Subsystem) and VoLTE/VoNR. Certifications in mobile networks or process improvement (e.g., Lean/Six Sigma). Experience with scripting languages (Python) for automation of data analysis Technology Experience:Domain Knowledge: In-depth understanding of 4G, and 5G network architectures, specifically focusing on session management and packet data handling. APN Configuration: Expertise in configuring and troubleshooting APN parameters (APN Name, Type, MMSC, Proxy, Authentication types) on various mobile OS platforms (Android, iOS). Packet Analysis: Proficiency in using network protocol analyzers (e.g., Wireshark) to analyze packet traffic and identify causes of packet loss, latency, or connection failures. Data Analysis: Strong proficiency in Excel and data analysis tools to track performance metrics (KPIs) and identify trends in connectivity issues. System Knowledge: Understanding of GGSN/PGW (Gateway GPRS Support Node / Packet Data Network Gateway) functionality within the mobile core. Troubleshooting: Ability to diagnose complex connectivity problems, such as failed data sessions, improper IP assignments, or roaming issues. Process Mapping: Ability to document and optimize current APN provisioning or troubleshooting workflows to improve efficiency. Data-Driven: Ability to interpret, analyze, and present technical data to stakeholders to drive decision-making. Interpersonal skills:Communication: Strong interpersonal and written communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical teams. Team Collaboration: Ability to work with cross-functional teams, including network engineers and customer support. Proactive Problem Solving: Ability to identify potential network bottlenecks before they affect end-users. Attention to Detail: Meticulous approach to reviewing network configuration files and logs.
