Job Description
**Location:** UCHealth Longs Peak Hospital, Longmont, CO
**Department:** LPH Hist Dept
Work Schedule: PRN, 0\.00 hours per pay period (2 weeks)
**Shift:** Days
**Pay:** $50\.76 \- $76\.14 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience
This position is an onsite role and does not offer a hybrid or remote option
**Summary:**
* Provides services in anatomic pathology under the direction of Pathologist.
**Responsibilities:**
* Grosses simple, non\-complicated and complex surgical pathology specimens, with possible inclusion of dermatology specimens.
* Performs frozen sections, and provides coverage and support as needed.
* Aids Attending Pathologist.
* Obtains pertinent clinical information and history. Maintains Patient Confidentiality by following Healthcare Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
* Within scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast\-paced environment and take appropriate action.
**Requirements:**
* Bachelor's degree from an accredited Pathology Assistant Program.
* Pathologists' Assistant Board Certified or exam eligible with the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP)
