You share the workload, why shouldn’t you share the reward?OverviewThe Business Intelligence Analyst will support the BI function in delivering accurate, timely, and insightful reporting across the business. This role involves building and maintaining dashboards, writing SQL queries, and working closely with stakeholders to understand their data needs. You will contribute to the team's shift toward proactive, insight-driven analytics while developing your skills across BI tooling, data analysis, and stakeholder communication.Primary LocationThis role is currently open to all locations within Australia.ResponsibilitiesSupport stakeholders across departments such as Risk & Trading, Finance, Customer Operations, Compliance, and Marketing by building and maintaining dashboards and reportsMonitor and maintain existing dashboards, ensuring data accuracy, timely refreshes, and resolving any issues as they ariseWrite and maintain SQL queries to extract, transform, and analyse data from various sourcesAssist in identifying trends in customer behaviour, engagement, and preferences, contributing insights that support business decisionsHelp maintain and improve existing reporting frameworks, ensuring data accuracy and consistencyRespond to ad-hoc data requests and investigations, delivering clear and timely insights to stakeholdersCollaborate with the data engineering team to understand data models in Databricks and flag any data quality issuesSupport the analysis of promotional strategies, helping assess cost-efficiency in customer acquisition, retention, and reactivationContribute to the development of self-service reporting capabilities for stakeholdersFollow and promote best practices for data accuracy, reliability, and governanceManage BI assets using Git, following team version control standards and contributing to peer code reviewsSkills & QualificationsA degree in a relevant discipline such as Computer Science, Data Analytics, Statistics, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, and data manipulationExperience with at least one Business Intelligence tool such as Power BI, Tableau, or AWS QuickWorking proficiency in SQL, with the ability to write, optimise and troubleshoot queries (2-3+ years' experience preferred)A foundational understanding of data warehousing concepts, data modelling and how data flows from source to reporting layerFamiliarity with Databricks or a similar cloud data platform, with a willingness to develop deeper expertiseBasic familiarity with Git for version control, including committing code and working within a shared repositoryAn analytical mindset with strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilityGood communication skills, with the ability to present data findings to both technical and non-technical audiencesA proactive self-starter with curious mindset and the ab
