This role will define the architecture and modeling standards for AmeriLife’s modern enterprise data platform built on Databricks and Lakehouse architecture.
The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in data relationships, enterprise data modeling, and source-to-target data mapping, with the ability to translate complex business processes into scalable and high-performing data models that support analytics, AI, and operational systems.Job DescriptionKey ResponsibilitiesDefine and lead the enterprise data architecture for the modern data platformDesign scalable data models supporting analytics, reporting, and AI workloadsLead data mapping initiatives between source systems and target data modelsDesign strong data relationships and schema structuresImplement Data Vault 2.0 modeling frameworksDesign robust dimensional models (star and snowflake schemas)Establish enterprise data modeling, governance, and metadata standardsPartner closely with data engineering teams to translate architecture into production pipelinesCore Technical SkillsExpert-level SQL skillsStrong expertise in data modeling and schema designDeep knowledge of Data Vault 2.0Strong experience with dimensional modelingExperience designing complex data relationships and normalized data modelsExperience with Databricks, Spark, or modern cloud data platformsAdditional ExpectationsPassion for data architecture and modelingExcellent communication and collaboration skillsAbility to work closely with engineering, analytics, and business teamsBonus QualificationsDatabricks certificationAWS or Azure cloud certificationCertified Data Vault 2.0 practitionerCompensationSalary Range: $160,000 to $190,000This role may be eligible for a discretionary annual bonus.Salary offers will vary commensurate with experience, education, skills, and training What AmeriLife OffersA comprehensive benefits package that includes PTO, medical, dental, vision, retirement savings, disability insurance, and life insurance.Equal Employment Opportunity StatementWe are an Equal Opportunity Employer and value diversity at all levels of the organization.
