This role requires strong analytical skills, accuracy, organization, and the ability to support audits, financial close processes, internal controls, and reporting.This person will play an important role in keeping financial records accurate, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and supporting the company’s finance operations.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial ReportingPrepare and review journal entriesPerform account reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial recordsPrepare and review financial statementsMaintain organized and accurate accounting documentationEnsure financial records are complete, accurate, and compliant with company policiesMonth-End, Quarter-End & Year-End CloseLead and support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesReview balances, transactions, and supporting schedulesIdentify and resolve discrepancies in a timely mannerEnsure deadlines are met during financial close periodsAnalysis, Budgeting & ForecastingAnalyze financial data, trends, and variancesSupport budgeting and forecasting processesAssist with variance analysis and provide insights to support decision-makingPrepare reports and summaries for management reviewCompliance, Audits & Tax SupportEnsure compliance with GAAP and internal accounting policiesCoordinate with external auditors and provide requested documentationSupport government filings and assist with tax-related filingsHelp ensure accounting practices follow required regulations and standardsInternal Controls & Process ImprovementSupport internal control processesIdentify opportunities to improve accounting workflowsRecommend process improvements to increase accuracy and efficiencyAssist with ad hoc finance and accounting requests as neededWhat We’re Looking ForMust-HavesExperience in U.S. accountingStrong understanding of GAAP and accounting principlesExperience preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statementsExperience supporting month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsHigh attention to detail and accuracyAbility to manage complex financial dataStrong organizational and time-management skillsAbility to meet deadlines and manage multiple prioritiesComfortable working remotely and independentlyThe Right FitThis role is ideal for someone who:Takes ownership of accounting tasks and follows through consistentlyIs highly detail-oriented and catches errors before they become problemsUnderstands the importance of accuracy, compliance, and deadlinesCan work independently with minimal supervisionCommunicates clearly and professionallyIs comfortable handling confidential financial informationEnjoys improving processes and keeping financial operations organizedWhat Success Looks LikeIn the First 90 DaysYou will have successfully:Learned the company’s accounting processes, systems, and reporting structureSupported journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting accuratelyAssisted with close processes and met required deadlinesHelped organize audit, tax, or government filing documentationIdentified areas where accounting processes can be improvedLong-Term SuccessThe goal is to have accurate financial records, smooth close processes, strong internal controls, and reliable reporting.You will be a key person in ensuring accounting operations are organized, compliant, and completed on time.Originally posted on Himalayas
