We are committed to creating an inclusive and diverse workforce, reflecting the communities we serve.If you are ready to make a difference as part of the world’s greatest sports team, apply to join our team today!OVERVIEW:This Senior Manager of Analytics – Merchandising role sits at the intersection of merchandising, supply chain, store operations and technology, and is critical to leveraging data to drive insights and AI applications to fuel our differentiated assortment, pricing & promotion strategies, merchant planning, and supply chain optimization.JOB PURPOSE:As the Senior Manager of Analytics – Merchandising, you will: Work with merchant and supply chain partners, data evangelists and technologists to ensure that we offer the best, most relevant product to our customers when and where they want it – via data-informed, analytical insights and data-fueled applications (AI). Own the data, insights and measurement strategy for Inventory end-to-end, acting as the connector and strategic guide for business and analytical leaders across domains and initiatives. Be the go-to for data and analytics in the inventory space, partnering with data leaders and business stakeholders to define measurement strategy and metric definitions, inform data model requirements, and define how we leverage AI to optimize our inventory landscape. Manage a complex matrixed team to deliver impactful, outcome-oriented insights that drive both strategy and measurement in the inventory space. Demonstrate a keen ability to guide strategy and act as a data-led advisor to diverse stakeholders, always thinking end to end and omni-channel, serving as a visionary in the analytics space. Be a strategic, action-oriented leader responsible for establishing a high-performing Inventory/Supply Chain analytics function. Be an infectiously curious leader with an extensive background in data analysis, capable of steering the strategic direction of our data initiatives with stakeholders while also partnering closely with your team to build our data and analytics foundations. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Sr. Manager of Analyticssets goals, priorities and processes related to Analytics as a function and in support of covered domains(across Merchandising & Inventory teams)while overseeing multiple initiatives, flexing priorities as business needs shift and serving as a point of escalation.This individual has demonstrated deep proficiency across all analytical methods, and guides, coaches and mentors junior analysts to develop high quality, timely analytical deliverables, while also guiding their career development. In addition to professional and team development, the Sr. Manager guides engagement and structure within the broader team.Business Stakeholder & Strategy Support Serve as a strategic advisor to business stakeholders, including executive levels. Help guide and shape strategic business decisions based on data, acting as the translator between data and deep insights from which to drive strategy. Support will include proactive discovery and goal setting, reactive root cause analysis or measurement, and ad hoc support for trend and metric interpretation / definition. As the data expert in the inventory space, this role will partner with Data Engineering teams to design scalable data pipelines and data warehousing solutions, inform data model requirements, and prototype and strategize needed reporting elements. Analytics & Measurement Lead the analytics support for business partners through development of executive-facing deliverables, with succinct storylines and project plans, demonstrating mastery of written and verbal communication Work with business leaders to develop actionable insights and to translate analytics into meaningful business strategies through storytelling Manage an ongoing testing portfolio and prioritization for the domain, presenting key findings, testing summary and communication of the testing portfolio to key executives Test both business strategies and technology improvements to ensure positive business results, guiding cross-functional teams in robust test measurement approaches Analyze and communicate test results cross-functionally and to leadership to guide investments decisions Pioneer new data sets and concepts and drive the creation of common metrics with goals and benchmarks for application, further partnering with technology, stakeholders and reporting teams to drive data democratization and usage of metrics across the enterprise to leverage for effective performance tracking Demonstrate ownership and leadership by personally carrying out advanced data analysis to discover and communicate actionable insights Leverage common tools and platforms (e.g. SQL, Databricks, GCP, Excel), and/or vendor
