Job Description
COMPANY đ±RYZE was founded in 2019 by AndrĂ©e Werner and Rashad Hossain, out of a parents' basement, with a mission to change daily health, starting with the morning routine: a nutrient-dense mushroom coffee delivering clean energy, mental clarity, and immune support. Built on a Direct-to-Consumer foundation with a performance marketing engine, RYZE achieved hockey-stick growth and a community of over 1 million active subscribers.
DTC remains the foundation, but RYZE has expanded into mass retail, quickly becoming the #2 items in Target's overall coffee category and is now executing a multi-channel expansion, with a cross-category launch coming in early 2027. RYZE is uniquely positioned to redefine how people think about daily wellness.
Weâre a lean, fast-moving, mission-driven team who believe daily rituals create the foundation for living your greatest life, and weâre just getting started!
ROLE OVERVIEW:
You'll own label compliance and regulatory clearance for RYZEâs growing product portfolioâfrom mushroom coffees to new SKUs across retail and DTC. This is a brand-side regulatory role: youâll work closely with the Research & Scientific Affairs team to ensure every product that ships meets FDA dietary supplement and food labeling requirements, every claim on pack is properly substantiated, and every new launch clears regulatory review before it reaches market. Youâll also own retailer and Amazon channel compliance, keeping RYZEâs listings accurate and defensible as the portfolio expands.
WHAT YOU'LL DO đŻRESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
Review product labels, supplement facts panels, and packaging for compliance with FDA dietary supplement and food labeling regulationsâincluding required disclaimers, ingredient listing, net quantity, and structure/function claim standards.
Evaluate whether label and product claims are adequately substantiated by available evidence, working closely with Research & Scientific Affairs and the internal Claims Library.
Own regulatory clearance for new product launchesâcoordinating documentation, reviewing label copy, and completing the compliance checklist for each new SKU before it reaches market.
Maintain and review channel-specific compliance for retailer and e-commerce listings, including Amazon Seller Central policies and retailer (Target, etc.) product setup requirements.
Review ingredient documentationâconfirming supplier GRAS status, food-grade and supplement-grade certifications, and relevant specifications.
Monitor FDA warning letters and regulatory developments in the functional food and dietary supplement spaceâflagging anything that affects RYZEâs current claims, labeling, or product formulations.
Collaborate cross-functionally with Product Development, Marketing, Research & Scientific Affairs, and Quality to build regulatory compliance into product workflows from the start.
Maintain regulatory files, SOPs, and documentation standards, and support continuous improvement of the regulatory review process.
(Other related duties may be assigned.
WHAT WE OFFER đPROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelorâs degree in Nutritional Sciences, Biology, Chemistry, a life science or health science, or a related field.
3â5 years of regulatory experience at a consumer brand, dietary supplement company, or functional food companyâbrand-side experience preferred over supplier or manufacturer side.
Strong working knowledge of FDA dietary supplement and food labeling regulations, including supplement facts requirements, structure/function claim standards, and the food vs. dietary supplement classification distinction.
Experience with Amazon Seller Central compliance requirements and/or retail channel regulatory requirements (Target, Walmart, etc.) is a strong plus.
Familiarity with GRAS requirements for functional ingredients in food and beverage applications is a strong plus.
Collaborative communicator who can translate regulatory complexity into practical guidance for cross-functional teams.
Excellent attention to detail, strong documentation instincts, and comfort working in a fast-moving product environment.
Regulatory Affairs Certification (RAC) is a plus.
