**About RV Help** RV Help is a marketplace connecting RV owners with mobile service technicians and inspectors across 48 states. Two years old, Series Seed funded, and at the stage where the next 12 months define whether we win. Our portal product is live, paid, and complex. Our marketplace is the bet we're building toward. We move at the speed of AI. Our entire team — including non\-technical members — uses AI tooling to ship code, open PRs, and contribute directly to the product. This isn't a future aspiration; it's how we operate today. The next layer of our advantage will come from building AI deeper into the product itself, and we're looking for someone who thinks that way naturally. We're a small, distributed team with zero appetite for bureaucracy. If you've thrived in that environment before, you'll feel at home here. **The role** Our CPTO is the current connective tissue between strategy, engineering, and execution — and that's the bottleneck we're hiring to fix. You'll take ownership of the engineering team day\-to\-day: running standups, managing a distributed group of developers across time zones, reviewing code, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks. On the product side, you'll work alongside our Portal PM, who owns product for our revenue\-generating portal. Your counterpart is product; your ownership is engineering. You'll translate direction into tickets, keep the backlog organized, and make sure developers always have what they need to execute — without coming back to ask. You'll also write and ship code yourself. This is a player\-coach role — probably 50% coding, 50% team and process ownership. The coding half is across all three of our product tracks as needed, not just one. **What you'll actually do** **Own the engineering team** * Manage a small distributed team of developers across time zones day\-to\-day * Run standups, unblock developers, and maintain visibility across all three product tracks * Review PRs, enforce code quality, and make sure the team is shipping clean work * Be the person developers come to — not the CPTO **Drive execution** * Work with the CPTO to translate strategy and half\-formed ideas into scoped, actionable tickets * Own backlog health across the marketplace, portal support, and free directory * Create just enough process that the team can execute without hand\-holding — no more, no less * Flag blockers early and route issues to the right person fast **Build** * Write and ship production code across the stack — Next.js, React, Node.js * Step in personally when something needs to move fast and there's no one else to pick it up * Use AI tooling aggressively to accelerate your own output and help the team do the same **Push AI forward** * Help the full team — including non\-technical contributors who already open PRs — get more out of AI tools * Identify opportunities to embed AI capabilities into the product itself **What we're looking for** **Must\-haves** * **Startup e
