Job Description
**Business Process \& Operations Lead**
**Full\-Time \| Remote**
We are looking for a **systems thinker who loves turning messy, people\-dependent operations into simple, repeatable, measurable processes.**
This is not primarily a people\-management role. It is a **systems\-building role that also owns day\-to\-day operations.**
You will look across our business at how work actually gets done, identify where things break down, and build better ways of operating. That means mapping processes, eliminating unnecessary steps, establishing clear ownership, creating SOPs, implementing controls and metrics, and automating work that shouldn't require a person.
You'll also own the day\-to\-day operation and make sure the systems you create actually work in the real world.
We're looking for someone who doesn't accept "that's how we've always done it." If something happens repeatedly, your instinct should be to ask why, identify the root cause, and build a system that prevents the problem from happening again.
The right person is resourceful, highly organized, curious, and comfortable bringing structure to an evolving startup environment. You should be equally comfortable interviewing employees about a process, mapping a complicated workflow, writing a clear SOP, configuring a project\-management or CRM system, and using AI to reduce manual work.
**Build Repeatable, Scalable Processes**
* Map current\-state workflows and identify bottlenecks, unnecessary steps, handoff problems, and failure points.
* Design future\-state processes that can scale as volume increases.
* Turn processes that live in people's heads into clear, repeatable systems.
* Define roles, ownership, SLAs, decision points, controls, and escalation paths.
* Create and maintain practical SOPs and checklists that people actually use.
* Establish standards for how processes are designed, documented, measured, and improved.
* Apply systems\-thinking and continuous\-improvement principles similar to EOS, Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, or other process\-management methodologies.
**Improve and Automate How Work Gets Done**
We are an AI\-first company and believe technology should eliminate unnecessary manual work.
You'll identify opportunities to:
* Eliminate repetitive administrative work.
* Automate handoffs, notifications, follow\-ups, approvals, and data entry.
* Connect systems so information moves automatically between them.
* Use AI to improve speed, consistency, quality, and decision\-making.
* Build workflows using tools such as **n8n, Make, Zoho Flow, Zapier, APIs, and webhooks**.
You need to be technically curious and willing to build things yourself. We don't want someone who simply identifies automation opportunities and hands them to someone else.
Just as importantly, you'll know **when not to automate**. A bad process shouldn't simply become an automated bad process.
**Own Day\-to\-Day Operational Excellence**
You'll also be responsible for making sure the operation runs
