The company, formed in 2020 through the combination of Raytheon Company and the United Technologies Corporation aerospace businesses, is headquartered in Arlington, VA.The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services Team:RTX has an opening for a Principal Specialist, SAP BW (Principal Specialist, Business Systems and Transformation) position on the Enterprise Services Team.Exciting Opportunity!Work closely with peer SAP developers, SMEs, batch technicians, developers, Product/Project Managers and Customers to optimize and enhance existing BW and HANA solutions.Play an active role in creating and administering automated workflows critical to driving business success.Join a team that manages a wide range of reports and reporting tools, as well as the daily transfer of data moving between SAP ERP, SAP BW, cloud and other platforms.The platform is part of a larger, evolving data ecosystem and interfaces with many systems. Together we aim to achieve new levels of productivity by changing the way we work and identifying new sources of growth for our customers.What You Will Do:Support and troubleshooting of a SAP Business Warehouse solution used as a reporting and analytics platform 24/7 365 days a year and whose data is leveraged by multiple downstream applications.Participate in scheduling and monitoring of processing jobs using Redwood RunMyJobs; constantly monitoring batch success and performance to ensure accurate, timely data for use in business decisions.Resolving SAP BW and HANA break-fix issues.Identify and mitigate SAP BW performance opportunities.Develop and optimize batch jobs and flows.Monitor the batch operations and recommend improvements.Troubleshoot and resolve batch job and workflow issues.Identify and raise system capacity related issues (storage, licenses, performance threshold).Define best practices for automated workflows and batch operations.Participate in overall batch operations architecture and strategy.Research and recommend alternative actions for problem resolution based on best practices and application functionality with minimal direction.Flexible work hours required and/or weekends, as needed, to meet deadlines or to fulfill batch operation obligations. Participate in an on-call rotation supporting Batch processing.Qualifications You Must Have: Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in interfacing with SAP BW and a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) or related discipline or equivalent combination of related work experience and schooling in lieu of degree.Experience with SAP Business Warehouse batch development and support.Experience with general SAP BW development.Qualifications We Prefer:Experience with Redwood scheduling tools a plus (specifically RunMyJobs).Experience with general SAP HANA development & monitoring.Experience with UNIX scripting.Large scale implementation experience with complex solutions environment.Candidates with DoD experience.Ability to work a flexible schedule and on-call weekend hours.Learn More & Apply Now!
