UI/User Experience Designer

**About the Company** We are a fast\-growing healthcare staffing startup building a two\-sided marketplace that connects nurses with healthcare facilities. Our mobile app (iOS/Android) features a shift marketplace, credential management, in\-app chat, payments, a rewards program ("Honey"), and community tools — all designed to empower nursing professionals and simplify facility staffing. **About the Role** We are looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer contractor to help us design an intuitive, trustworthy, and polished experience across our mobile app and companion web/admin tools. You will work closely with the founder/product lead and engineering team to translate a growing feature set into clean, usable, mobile\-first flows. **Responsibilities** * Design end\-to\-end user flows and wireframes for new and existing features * Create high\-fidelity UI designs and interactive prototypes using Figma * Maintain and evolve a design system and component library for cross\-app consistency * Conduct or synthesize user research and feedback — especially from working nurses — to inform design decisions * Collaborate with engineers to ensure accurate and technically feasible implementation * Design for a two\-sided marketplace: a nurse\-facing mobile experience and facility\-facing staffing tools * Deliver pragmatic, iterative design at startup speed without sacrificing usability **Requirements** * 3\+ years of UI/UX design experience, ideally including consumer mobile apps (iOS/Android) * Strong portfolio demonstrating mobile\-first design, clear information architecture, and visual craft * Advanced proficiency in Figma (component libraries, auto\-layout, prototyping) * Ability to work independently, communicate clearly in an async environment, and move quickly **Preferred Qualifications** * Experience designing for marketplaces, gig or staffing platforms, fintech (payments/payouts), or healthcare applications * Familiarity with credentialing or compliance flows * Experience with chat/messaging UX * Background in rewards, gamification, or community\-driven product features Pay: $50\.00 \- $70\.00 per hour Work Location: Remote
