Accounting Expense Analyst

We are seeking a highly organized and detail\-oriented Senior Accounting \& Expense Specialist to support private financial and accounting operations involving business activities, real estate holdings, investments, and other financial interests. The successful candidate will oversee day\-to\-day expense management, financial recordkeeping, reconciliations, reporting, and transaction review. This position requires a high level of discretion and the ability to work with confidential financial information. The role will work closely with business owners, management, accountants, financial professionals, property managers, vendors, and other authorized representatives. Key Responsibilities \- Manage and review business and private investment\-related expenses. \- Review invoices, receipts, statements, expense reports, and supporting documentation. \- Categorize and code transactions accurately according to the appropriate business, property, investment, or personal financial account. \- Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, investment\-related transactions, and other financial accounts. \- Monitor recurring expenses and identify unusual, duplicate, or unauthorized transactions. \- Coordinate vendor payments, reimbursements, and approved expenses. \- Track expenses associated with real estate properties, including maintenance, utilities, insurance, taxes, contractors, and property\-management costs. \- Maintain accurate records for multiple businesses, properties, and financial accounts. \- Coordinate with external accountants, bookkeepers, tax professionals, property managers, and financial advisors when required. \- Maintain organized digital records of invoices, receipts, statements, contracts, and other financial documentation. \- Support tax preparation by maintaining accurate expense documentation and financial records. Business \& Property Finance Responsibilities The position may also support accounting activities associated with a diversified portfolio of businesses and real estate holdings, including: \- Property operating expenses \- Property maintenance and repairs \- Contractor and vendor payments \- Insurance and property taxes \- Rental\-related income and expenses \- Business operating expenses Qualifications \- 3\+ years of experience in accounting, bookkeeping, expense management, finance operations, or a related field. \- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial recordkeeping. \- Experience with reconciliations, expense reporting, accounts payable, and financial documentation. \- Strong Excel or Google Sheets skills. \- Experience with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, SAP, or similar platforms. \- Strong analytical and problem\-solving abilities. \- Ability to work independently with limited supervision. \- Strong understanding of confidentiality and financial\-data security.
