We encourage people of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander background and people with disability to apply.About the RoleWe are seeking an exceptional governance professional to join our Strategy & Governance team as Senior Executive Officer – Corporate Governance.Reporting to the Chief Strategy & Governance Officer, this role provides high-level governance, project and secretariat support to the Board, Board Committees, Chief Executive and Executive Leadership Team. It offers a unique opportunity to work at the centre of organisational decision-making and contribute to the governance, integrity and strategic direction of one of Australia's largest social purpose organisations.Working closely with the Chief Strategy & Governance Officer in their capacity as Company Secretary, you will play a critical role in supporting effective governance across Life Without Barriers. You will coordinate Board and Committee processes, manage governance projects, maintain governance frameworks and support compliance with statutory, regulatory and corporate governance obligations.You will facilitate the effective flow of information between the Board, Executive Leadership Team and key governance forums, ensuring governance processes are contemporary, efficient and aligned to organisational priorities.Success in this role requires exceptional judgement, discretion and attention to detail. You will be comfortable operating in a complex environment, managing competing priorities and handling highly sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity. You will also bring the ability to build trusted relationships with Directors, Executives and senior stakeholders, providing confidence that governance processes are delivered to the highest standard.Key ResponsibilitiesGovernance and Board SupportCoordinate Board, Board Committee and Executive governance processes.Prepare and manage Board and Committee meeting schedules, agendas, papers, minutes and action tracking.Support the Chief Strategy & Governance Officer in delivering contemporary governance practices and frameworks.Facilitate the effective flow of information between the Board, Executive Leadership Team and governance forums.Assist with Director induction, Board development activities and Board performance reviews.Maintain governance records, registers and statutory documentation.Compliance and Corporate GovernanceSupport the organisation to meet its obligations under relevant legislation, including the Corporations Act, ACNC requirements and organisational governance frameworks.Coordinate conflict of interest processes and governance reporting requirements.Assist in the development, implementation and continuous improvement of governance policies, systems and processes.Promote a culture of accountability, transparency and good governance across the organisation.Strategic Projects and Organisational GovernanceLead governance-related projects and initiatives.Contribute to organisational planning, reporting and strategic governance activities.Support the implementation of governance frameworks that strengthen organisational effectiveness and accountability.Provide high-quality research, analysis and written advice to support decision-making.About YouWe are seeking a highly professional, values-aligned individual who thrives in complex environments and enjoys working closely with senior leaders and Directors.You will bring exceptional attention to detail, sound judgement and the ability to manage highly sensitive information with professionalism, discretion and integrity.You are someone who can confidently engage with Executive leaders, Board Directors and a diverse range of stakeholders while maintaining a strong focus on quality, accuracy and outcomes.Most importantly, you will be motivated by our purpose and committed to upholding the values that guide everything we do.Skills & ExperienceSignificant experience in governa
