OverviewMedical Solutions creates software to support every aspect of a healthcare clinician’s career and the hospitals that staff them to reduce friction, increase operational efficiency, and improve healthcare outcomes.Product & Innovation is a team of product managers, designers, architects, developers, and QA engineers that create and transform ideas into disruptive products.We are looking for a Sr. Solution Architect to join our team as we create products and services that thousands of people use. This candidate will play a crucial role in designing new products and features for our customers. In this position, you will collaborate with a team of talented engineers focused on building our suite of external facing products. This position requires strong analytical skills to understand how to develop software based on the end user's needs. The successful candidate will manage multiple priorities with ambitious deadlines, be passionate about building high quality customer applications and be innovative in their solutionsResponsibilitiesBe an example for people in exhibiting Medical Solutions core values every dayDevelop, maintain, and support applications that serve our external customersDrive all aspects of product design including performance, scalability, security, etc.Own the DevOps implementation and including CI/CD pipelinesOwn the development, maintenance and enforcement of enterprise standards around development practices, processes and toolsBuild out proofs of concept in order to 'fail fast' on complex projectsStay current with the approved enterprise technology stackAssist in building technical roadmapsLead architectural design discussions with the development teamCollaborate with Enterprise Architecture to ensure solutions align with current needs and future objectivesAssist Principal and Lead Developers in problem management and root cause analysis when neededEstablish and maintain coding standards, source control, scalability, testing processes, etc.Participate in identifying new technologies and new design patternsWork with Product Managers and Delivery Managers to prioritize and estimate effort for new featuresIdentify and communicate cross team dependencies when designing solutionsWork with cross-functional resources such as UX Designers, DBAs, Infrastructure, etc.Serve as a technical subject matter expertDocument applications and processesPrioritize unit testing within the team to ensure a high level of code coverage and qualityHas a strong understanding of the specific business processes the team supportsAct as a servant leader who guides the team to reach their goalsParticipate in scrum ceremonies as needed and provide guidance for SDLC activitiesDeliver tasks on time and efficientlyWork with external vendors to ensure deliverables meet company needs and standardsQualifications15+ years in application software developmentHigh demonstrable knowledge of C# and .Net Core developmentExperience with cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure DevOps and AWSExperience developing applications in a microservice environmentExperience with SQL Relational DatabasesExperience with agile development methodologies using GitFlow workflowExperience using Integrated Development Environments like Visual StudioWorking knowledge of the SDLC ProcessStrong verbal and written communication skills.
