You’ll partner with product managers and engineers to design impactful solutions, balancing customer needs with business goals and technical realities. If you thrive on collaboration, care deeply about the customer and take pride in the details that make a product exceptional, we’d love to hear from you.We're looking for two people to join our team on fixed-term contracts to cover parental leave. We have one 12-month opportunity and one 6-month opportunity, with a preference for candidates based in Auckland or Wellington. However, we're also open to considering candidates located elsewhere in New Zealand. What you will doDeliver end-to-end design artifacts: research, concepts, prototypes and UIConduct research and evaluative testing to understand customer needsUtilise design practices (personas, journey maps) for a shared customer viewCollaborate with product managers and engineers to scope, prioritise and deliver solutionsContribute to the design system, building reusable patterns and components for consistencySupport design team culture and processes with a mindset of continuous improvementAbout you7+ years of experience as a product designer, ideally in SaaS or modern cloud softwareSkilled across the full design process: discovery, prototyping, iteration and deliveryStrong visual design and interaction design skills with a keen eye for detailExcellent communication and collaboration skills, across stakeholders at all levelsComfortable working with ambiguity and making trade‑offs to achieve strategic goalsExperience working closely with product managers and engineers in cross‑functional teamsStrong planning and organisational skills, able to manage timelines independentlyResearch and data informed mindset, with the ability to seek and interpret insights to guide design decisionsComfortable leveraging AI and open to new ways of workingEquitable opportunities, growth, and development lie at the heart of how we work at EP.
