The Senior Engineer will ensure a secure, scalable, and high-performing AVD environment. The Senior Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver a seamless user experience, optimize performance and maintain our security standards in a dynamic virtual ecosystem.Essential Functions Guide system development and implementation planning through assessment or preparation of system engineering management plans and system integration test plansDiagnose incidents encountered in the environment and resolve problems in systems, processes and servicesImplement servers, storage, and virtual environmentsPerform security risk, vulnerability assessments and business impact analysis and provide guidance on the application and operations of security controlsCreate testing plans and the restoration of all infrastructure components including operating systems and infrastructure services for disaster recovery servicesWork complex research projects as part of an integrated research teamPerform system maintenance during after-hoursAct as a point of escalation for internal IT teams to support end users Perform other related duties as assigned.Essential Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing to accurately convey messages with both technical and non-technical usersAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory, O365, Azure AD and Exchange Online supportDeep familiarity of Azure virtual desktop environmentsAdvanced knowledge of TCP/IP networkingKnowledge of FSLogix and storage account troubleshooting and supportKnowledge of data center operationsFlexible and able to adapt to a rapidly changing environmentAble to adapt and respond to changing business needs and prioritiesCommitment and ability to cultivate a diverse and inclusive work environment.Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Network Engineering or related field preferred; the equivalent amount of experience will be considered in-lieu.Experience 5+ years of experience as a System Engineer with a minimum of 3 years hands-on experience in Azure cloud engineering5+ years’ experience supporting Windows based applicationsRecent experience with Enterprise Storage and Desktop VirtualizationExtensive experience working with Microsoft server technologiesExperience working in a Data Center environmentCompensation and BenefitsCovius offers an extensive benefits package for all employees, including medical, dental, vision and 401(k)!Compensation: $97,600 - $122,000 annualized with a 15% AIP opportunityApplication Guidelines:For best consideration, please submit your resume and application materials as soon as possible. Employees are expected to maintain a dedicated and professional workspace that supports productivity and confidentiality. Flexible work hours may be available, though employees must be able to collaborate effectively across time zones and attend scheduled meetings during core business hours. May require extended periods of computer use and sitting. Occasional travel or in-person meetings may be required based on business needs. Employees must adhere to company policies regarding data security, time tracking, and virtual collaboration.Physical Demands and ActivitiesWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to communicate. The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and constantly operate a computer and other office equipment using hands and fingers for fine manipulation, including keyboarding and mouse use.
