NuvoAir Medical is a technology\-enabled pulmonary care organization that is focused on improving outcomes for patients with chronic respiratory diseases such as COPD, asthma, sleep apnea, and other complex pulmonary conditions. Our relationship\-based model combines remote patient monitoring and proactive clinical engagement to keep patients healthier and out of the hospital. Complex conditions like COPD are incredibly challenging to manage. People who are already struggling with isolation and the burden of these conditions become increasingly frustrated and disengaged, eventually falling through the cracks and landing in the ER. This cycle perpetuates poor health outcomes and excessive medical costs.

**Where you’ll see your impact:**
A Medical Assistant (MA) is a vital member of our NuvoAir healthcare team, responsible for providing administrative and clinical support in the virtual medical setting. This person will encompass a combination of administrative and clinical tasks that will impact our entire business and how we work with our patients by upholding our company core value, “Patient Obsessed”.
**What you’ll be responsible for:**
* Manage appointment scheduling for patients, ensuring an organized and efficient flow of patients through the facility.
* Collect and update patient information, including demographics, medical history, medications, allergies, and insurance details.
* Reviewing, working, and managing tasks received in the EHR.
* Managing electronic health records (EHR) by accurately recording patient data, test results, and treatment plans.
* Assisting with billing procedures, coding medical procedures accurately for insurance claims, and handling financial transactions.
* Verifying patient insurance coverage and obtaining necessary authorizations for medical procedures.
* Supporting inbound calls for our patients
* Communicating with patients, physicians, and other healthcare professionals via phone and email.
* Following up on imaging, lab, DME orders as well as referrals.
