Job Description

AECOM's Technology Solutions Group (TSG) is seeking a detail-oriented Security Consultant with deep expertise in Autodesk Revit to join our growing Security Practice. This is a Revit/BIM-focused role centered on design documentation, model production, and construction document delivery for physical security and electronic security systems (ESS) across government, military, utility, and commercial facilities.The position also includes security consulting responsibilities such as supporting design reviews, contributing to scope development, and assisting with client deliverables. This role is ideal for a Revit professional with a background in — or a developing interest in — physical security systems who wants to build a career at the intersection of BIM and mission-critical technology design.Primary Responsibilities:Revit / BIM ProductionDevelop, maintain, and coordinate Revit models for physical security and ESS projects, including access control, CCTV/video surveillance, intrusion detection, and perimeter protection systemsProduce complete construction document packages — plans, elevations, sections, schedules, details, and specifications — in Revit and AutoCAD per project requirementsCreate and manage Revit families for security-specific equipment (cameras, card readers, gates, bollards, control panels, etc.)Perform BIM coordination and clash detection using Autodesk Navisworks in multi-discipline environmentsMaintain drawing standards, BIM Execution Plans (BEP), and model quality across project phases from SD through CD and CACoordinate with MEP, structural, and architectural disciplines to ensure security system design integration within the overall facility BIM environmentManage sheet sets, title blocks, revision tracking, and plotted deliverable packagesSupport as-built documentation, record drawing updates, and facility information model (FIM) deliverablesApply AECOM, federal agency, and owner BIM standards to all deliverablesSecurity Consulting SupportAssist consultants and project managers with security system design narratives, basis-of-design documents, and equipment specificationsParticipate in design review meetings and respond to RFIs and submittal reviews during construction administrationSupport the development of risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, or security master plan documents as directedApply applicable standards (ICD 705, NISPOM, UFC, FEMA 430, ASIS, IEC 62443) to documentation under the guidance of senior staffIdeal candidates should have strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple active projects simultaneously with excellent written and verbal communication skills.AECOM’s Buildings + Places practice includes architecture, interiors, building engineering, workplace strategy, business transformation, asset advisory, economics and development planning, master planning, urban planning, and landscape architecture. Minimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Technology, Architecture, Construction Management or closely related field with four (4) years of relevant experience or associate's degree in related fields with six (6) years of relevant experience. U.S. Citizenship is required for this positionMinimum 4 years of professional Revit experience in a design or engineering environmentExperience in Autodesk Revit MEP or Architectural (including family creation, worksharing, and view management)Experience in AutoCAD 2D drafting and coordinationDemonstrated ability to produce construction document packages from concept through permit/bid setsExperience with physical security systems concepts (CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, perimeter security)Preferred Requirements:Experience with Revit on federal, DOD, or DHS facility projectsFamiliarity with SCIF design and ICD 705 / NISPOM requirementsAutodesk Certified Professional (ACP) – RevitASIS Physical Security Professional (PSP) or equivalent credential, or actively pursuingExperience with Navisworks, BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud, or ReviztoPrior work in any of the following sectors: military installations, utilities/SCADA, transit, data centers, or government facilitiesActive Secret or Top Secret clearanceU.S. Citizenship is required for this positionSponsorship is not available for this positionRelocation is not available for this positionAbout AECOMAECOM is proud to offer compreh
