**Position Details** * **Reporting Manager**: Principal * **Status**: Salary, Exempt * **Type**: Regular, Full\-Time (12 Months) * **Program**: Missouri Virtual Schools **Overview** Stellar Virtual seeks a highly motivated and certified Secondary Health/PE Teacher to join our team. This remote position will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective health and physical education instruction to students in grades 6\-12 through our virtual learning platform. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of health and wellness principles, physical fitness concepts, excellent communication and technology skills, and a passion for fostering healthy lifestyles and physical activity in an online environment.. Responsibilities include curriculum implementation, assessment, individualized support, and collaboration to ensure student success. **Essential Duties** * Deliver engaging and interactive live virtual lessons aligned with the Missouri State Standards for Health and Physical Education for grades 6\-12\. * Utilize a variety of online teaching methodologies, resources, and technologies to cater to diverse learning styles and needs, adapting physical activities for the home environment. * Develop and deliver asynchronous learning activities, including interactive assignments, projects, discussions, and resources for at\-home physical activity. * Provide clear and timely feedback on student work to promote understanding and growth in health concepts and physical activity engagement. * Facilitate virtual discussions and provide individualized support to students as needed. * Maintain accurate and up\-to\-date records of student attendance, grades, and progress. * Implement the Stellar Virtual health and physical education curriculum effectively and adapt instruction to meet individual student needs and home environments. * Develop and administer formative and summative assessments to monitor student learning in health knowledge and participation in physical activity. * Analyze student data to identify learning gaps and adjust teaching strategies accordingly. * Collaborate with curriculum specialists and other teachers to enhance the health and physical education curriculum for the virtual setting. * Support on\-site testing events periodically throughout the year (required). * Participate in virtual professional development and collaborate with colleagues on online teaching best practices. * Work collaboratively with student support services (e.g., counselors, special education) to address student needs. * Attend virtual staff meetings and contribute to the overall success of Stellar Virtual. **Knowledge, Skills \& Attributes** * Minimum of two (2\) years of successful teaching experience, preferably in a secondary setting. * Experience teaching a range of secondary health and physical education topics. * Proven experience working independently with minimal supervision, including the ability to manage a digital
