The Department of Health Services (DHS), Division of Medicaid Services (DMS) is recruiting to fill a Children’s Program and Policy Analyst \- Advanced within the Bureau of Children’s Services (BCS).
This position has the ability to work remotely up to 5 days per week but may be required to report to an office location on occasion to complete certain tasks. This position can be headquartered at one of our central or regional offices. This schedule may vary based on training or operational need.

**Position Summary**

As a Children's Program and Policy Analyst, you will have responsibility for planning and coordinating large\-scale projects, policies, and programs related to the design and operation of programs and systems for children with disabilities. These programs include the Children’s Long\-Term Support, Birth to 3, Care4Kids, Complex Medical Care, the Children’s Community Option Program and Katie Beckett Medicaid. This position may primarily focus on the Birth to 3 Program. You will be responsible for assuring policy and procedures maintain state and federal authority to fund and operate the programs in addition to maximizing state and federal resources available for programs that serve children with disabilities. Through utilizing expert communication skills and principles of trauma\-informed care, you will use culturally sensitive and respectful approaches when working with children, families, providers, colleagues and all other partners. You will work closely with the section manager and bureau management in order to define program goals, develop and plan programs, develop policies and procedures to implement and administer these programs, and analyze the current or projected effectiveness
