ICF is seeking a mid\-level Environmental Planner/ Project Manager with a desire to grow into a position supporting our Energy clients. This role will be a hybrid position with flexibility to work remotely or in the office. The successful candidate will be a well\-versed professional with the ability to work independently on projects, lead tasks and interface with clients in a client\-facing setting. The successful candidate will be a well\-organized individual with strong communication skills, ability to excel in a fast\-paced environment, and the desire to advance toward a senior\-level environmental planner/senior Project Manager position. Projects requiring immediate support are located in Los Angeles, Orange County and south San Joaquin Valley portions of California. Site visits to project locations is required.
**Job Description**
The primary duty of this role is to lead multidisciplinary planning tasks and implementation of environmental and regulatory compliance documents for utility\-related projects with a focus on energy projects. This person will work directly with clients, planners, construction team members, to support environmental assessments, regulatory permitting, and contruction compliance, and construction implementation activities.
A strong working knowledge of environmental compliance processes (including the California Environmental Quality Act \[CEQA] and National Environmental Policy Act \[NEPA]) and experience working with local, state, and federal agencies, as well as private sector clients such as California\-based utilities, renewable energy developers, and commercial/residential/industrial developers, and engineering companies is preferred. At a minimum, the position requires experience preparing enivironmental or local development planning documents, drafting technical reports and deliverables, managing and tracking multiple projects concurrently, and working effectively with external clients.
