We hold our team to the highest level of accountability to ensure we provide tailored solutions to successfully execute our clients’ projects.We believe that open communication is the key to fostering reliable and lasting relationships within our company and those with whom we conduct business.Key ResponsibilitiesExecute mechanical engineering deliverablesComplete calculations to support project deliverablesSelect and size mechanical equipmentPrepare or check equipment data sheets, MEL, valve lists, and line listsCheck and seal drawing packagesWrite or review technical reports, engineering specifications, and construction specificationsProvide project deliverables as per project scheduleCoordinate across disciplines and departments for project implementation, design, and inspectionTroubleshoot mechanical systems for operating mine sites and heavy industrial facilitiesSupport cost estimating with reviews of project deliverable based on proposal scopePresent project designs, concepts, and progress updates to clients and stakeholdersAbility and willingness to travel for site visits as requiredQualifications + ExperienceDegree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited Canadian universityRegistered as a Professional Engineer in Canada 4+ years of experience as a Mechanical Engineer on Mining & Mineral processing, Heavy Industrial ProjectsFamiliar with greenfield and brownfield mining projectsKnowledge of ASME and CSA codes, industry standards, and regulationsExperienced with selection and sizing for rotating equipment, pump boxes and chutes, conveyors, HVAC, and Fire protectionAbility to present project deliverables and concepts to clientsExcellent organizational, technical, and communication skillsDesire and drive with a love for lifelong learningAbility to manage multiple ongoing projectsSalary: Contract RatesOriginally posted on Himalayas
