SAP Supply Chain Solution Architect

Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly experienced SAP Supply Chain Solution Architect (Lead) to drive a Proof of Concept (POC) engagement focused on end-to-end supply chain transformation.This role will be responsible for architecting and validating integrated business processes across planning, procurement, production, and project execution within an SAP landscape.The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise across SAP MM, PP, and PS modules, with strong cross-functional understanding of supply chain planning and execution.Key ResponsibilitiesPOC Leadership & ArchitectureLead and drive the end-to-end POC from solution design through validation Define and document the solution architecture and transformation roadmapAlign business objectives with SAP capabilities and industry best practices Process Mapping & OptimizationMap end-to-end supply chain processes: Forecasting → Demand Planning → MRP → Production → Project Execution Identify process inefficiencies and gaps across systems and workflowsRecommend optimized, scalable process frameworks Planning & Integration AnalysisEvaluate planning capabilities across modules and systems Identify and address planning gaps between SAP and external systemsEnsure seamless integration across supply chain functions Manufacturing & BOM EvaluationAssess Bill of Materials (BOM) structures and dependencies Analyze contract manufacturing models and recommend improvements Ensure alignment with production and project execution processes Stakeholder EngagementWork closely with business and IT stakeholders to validate requirements Present findings, recommendations, and architecture to leadership teams Act as the primary solution authority throughout the POC Required Skills & Experience10+ years of SAP experience with strong focus on Supply Chain solutionsProven experience as a Solution Architect / Lead in SAP S/4HANA or ECC Deep functional expertise in: SAP Materials Management (MM)SAP Production Planning (PP)SAP Project System (PS)Strong understanding of: End-to-end supply chain planning & execution MRP, demand planning, and manufacturing processes Experience in POC, solution design, and transformation roadmap creationExposure to contract manufacturing and complex BOM structuresExcellent stakeholder management and communication skills Nice to HaveExperience with SAP IBP / APO / S&OP processesIndustry experience in Manufacturing or Oil & GasPrior experience in multi-system integration environments What Success Looks LikeClear end-to-end process blueprint established Identified gaps with actionable recommendations Well-defined solution architecture and roadmapStrong stakeholder alignment and POC validationOriginally posted on Himalayas
