Initially, this role will focus on optimizing pricing strategies across proprietary and third party channels with planned expansion into new B2B customer pricing as the business grows. Sitting at the intersection of market intelligence, finance and business strategy, you will develop and implement pricing strategies to optimize revenue, margin, and market competitiveness. You will operate in an entrepreneurial environment with direct exposure to our company’s executive leadership.Eligibility RequirementsBachelor's degree in Economics, Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related analytical field2-4+ years of professional experience in pricing analysis, revenue management, financial analysis, or a related role requiring strong analytical rigor and strategic thinking. Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with essential proficiency in data analysisAccess to high-speed home Wi-Fi, and be able to work effectively during US business hoursResponsibilities will include:Develop and execute comprehensive pricing strategies across all channels, generating creative solutions to optimize price positioning in competitive markets, and staying informed on industry pricing trends and competitor actionsDesign, implement, meticulously track, and analyze pricing experiments and tests to optimize revenue and margin, documenting learnings and informing scalable pricing strategies based on elasticity analysis and competitive intelligenceSupport company management with pricing recommendations and financial modeling, representing analytical findings with clear presentations and data visualizations, pursuing pricing optimization opportunities, and managing pricing policy implementationsOwn key pricing performance metrics (e.g., margin analysis, price realization, competitive positioning, revenue impact), ensure pricing compliance across channels, and proactively work with teams to address pricing discrepanciesAnalyze large datasets related to sales performance, cost structures, market pricing, customer segments, and price sensitivity to identify trends, generate actionable pricing insights, and develop regular pricing performance reports for stakeholdersCoordinate regular competitive pricing audits and market analysis to identify pricing opportunities, gaps, and optimization potential across product categoriesPerform real-time monitoring of pricing performance and competitive dynamics, addressing pricing issues promptly and recommending immediate adjustments when necessaryAttributes to success:Ability to understand complex models, generate innovative pricing solutions within market constraints, and exhibit strong quantitative problem-solving skillsBeing highly self-directed, proactive, motivated, organized, and possessing exceptional attention to detail to manage multiple pricing initiatives effectivelyShowing willingness to deeply investigate pricing strategies, market dynamics, competitor behavior, cost structures, and customer price sensitivityDesired skills & experience:Familiarity with statistical analysis tools (e.g., R, Python) or advanced Excel modeling, experiences with business intelligence tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)Technical proficiency in Google Suite or Microsoft Office Suite, experience with SQL or similar database query languages.Understanding of pricing strategies in e-commerce or retail environments, experience with A/B testing and statistical significance in pricing experimentsBasic knowledge of financial analysisOriginally posted on Himalayas
