This is a remote position.PHILIPPINE-BASED FILIPINO APPLICANTSRole OverviewWe are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Australian Accountant to manage end-to-end accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting functions. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate financial records, timely payments, and compliance with regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate is organised, proactive, and comfortable working with accounting systems, reconciliations, and month-end processes in a fast-paced environment.Experience in Australian Accounting is strictly required.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounts PayableProcess invoices, verify approvals, and manage payment runsReconcile supplier statements, credit cards, and resolve discrepanciesMaintain supplier records and respond to payment enquiriesSupport month-end AP closing and reportingPayroll & ComplianceProcess fortnightly payroll and bank uploadsReconcile payroll, PAYG, superannuation, and leave balancesEnsure compliance with GST, PAYG, and Super requirementsMonth-End & ReconciliationsRecord monthly transactions and review expenses for completenessPerform bank and balance sheet reconciliationsFinancial ReportingPrepare periodic financial reports and reconcile general ledgerSupport budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, and audit preparationAd Hoc SupportAssist with general finance/admin tasks and office ordering as required RequirementsExperience in Australian Accounting is strictly requiredProven experience in Accounts Payable, Payroll, and Financial ReportingExperience using MYOB AccountsRight (or similar accounting software) is strictly requiredFamiliarity with SAP Concur, Definitiv (Payroll/HR), AirWallex, and MS Office SuiteStrong understanding of reconciliations, month-end processes, and financial controlsKnowledge of GST, PAYG, and Superannuation compliance requirementsHigh level of accuracy and strong attention to detailStrong organisational and time management skillsGood communication skills and ability to liaise with suppliers and internal stakeholdersAbility to handle confidential financial information with integrityWork Environment & Expectations While this is a work-from-home position, it is important to note that this is a full-time role—not a freelance or flexible-hour arrangement.
