As our global expert network grows, micro1 is building the human intelligence layer for frontier AI. **Job Title:** Senior Accountant **Job Type:** Full\-time **Location:** Remote **Job Summary:** We are seeking a Senior Accountant to own our general ledger and month\-end close processes. You will be part of our financial reporting function — ensuring books are accurate, close timelines are met, and the integrity of our financial data supports confident decision\-making at every level of the organization. **Key Responsibilities:** * Own the end\-to\-end month\-end close process, including preparation and posting of journal entries, accruals, and adjustments * Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, investigating and resolving discrepancies promptly * Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with GAAP * Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure all accounts are substantiated and documented * Support external audits by preparing schedules, documentation, and reconciliations * Identify and implement improvements to the close process to reduce cycle time and increase accuracy * Partner with leadership to ensure financial data is audit\-ready and decision\-ready at all times * Maintain and strengthen internal controls around the close and reporting cycle R**equired Skills and Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; CPA or CA preferred * 3\-5 years of accounting experience with a clear focus on G/L and month\-end close * Hands\-on experience with ERP/accounting system * Strong command of Google Sheets and Excel * Deep knowledge of GAAP, account reconciliation, and financial statement preparation * Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage tight close deadlines without sacrificing accuracy * Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English * Comfortable working independently in a fully remote, fast\-paced startup environment **Preferred Qualifications:** * CPA license, or progress toward professional certification * Exposure to AI tools or automated accounting workflows **Compensation \& Benefits Notice** The national p
