Our team delivers strategic finance, accounting, and operational support that drives business growth and decision-making for our clients. We're looking for a high-performing Controller to join our team and help our clients scale sustainably.Position Summary:The Controller will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day accounting operations for multiple client accounts, ensuring accurate financial reporting, adherence to GAAP, and timely month-end close. This role requires strong leadership, technical accounting knowledge, and the ability to manage multiple priorities across diverse clients.💼 This is a remote position with a required work schedule of 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM Central Time (CST).Key Responsibilities: Lead and manage all accounting operations for assigned client accounts, including general ledger, A/P, A/R, payroll, and bank reconciliations. Oversee the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process; ensure accurate and timely financial reporting. Prepare and review internal financial statements and provide variance analysis and commentary. Maintain and implement internal controls and accounting best practices across client environments. Ensure client compliance with U.S. GAAP and any relevant regulatory requirements. Coordinate with client tax advisors and auditors as needed. Train, supervise, and mentor client accounting staff or offshore support teams. Partner with US Controllers, CFOs and senior finance leadership to deliver insights and support strategic decision-making for the client. Assist in creating and implementing financial policies, procedures, and systems improvements. Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management activities. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred. Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a Controller role. Experience working with small to mid-sized businesses, ideally within a multi-client or outsourced CFO/controller firm. Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and internal control frameworks. Proficiency with accounting systems such as QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Xero, or similar. Advanced Excel skills and the ability to work with cloud-based finance tools. Excellent organizational, communication, and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple client relationships with professionalism and care.
