Job Description
The Senior Grant Review Manager (SGRM) is responsible for the implementation, management and timely execution of contract deliverables for the planning and management of multiple concurrent grant review cycles. The GRM position requires the application of knowledge and understanding of scientific principles. Selected candidates are expected to contribute excellent management and leadership skills to a multidisciplinary team of government and contract scientists and support staff for execution of the congressionally mandated research programs. The contract will be responsible for planning, coordinating, integrating, programming, budgeting and executing these programs.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for providing day-to-day management and leadership support for the project team.Serves as one of the points of contact for the client, program staff, contract personnel and corporate in the Project Director’s (PD) absence.Executes full life cycle of grant application receipt, processing, review, and tracking.Manages budget development and monitoringProvides technical assistance to applicants and grantees as needed.Manages project team of 4 to 8 grant review specialists.Prepares and submits vendor invoices for approval in a timely manner; reviews and reconciles client invoices.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseMinimum of ten (10) years of equivalent work experience. Advanced degree may be substituted for two (2) years of experienceCollege degree in health or science related field requiredGraduate degree preferredProject Management Professional (PMP) certification desiredStrong leadership skills, excellent customer service orientation, great attention to detail, organizational and project managementKnowledge and experience using SharePoint and Salesforce desired.Knowledge of Federal Government Contracting desired.Proficient with or skilled in the use of Microsoft Office 365 required.Originally posted on Himalayas
