**Location**: Houston or anywhere within the USA **Working Hours**: Flexible **About the Role:** We are seeking a Government Contracting Specialist or Grant Writer to actively monitor platforms such as SAM.gov, GSA, and relevant local government procurement boards to identify and pursue contracting opportunities on our behalf. **Scope of Work / Responsibilities:** * Conduct ongoing research to identify relevant RFPs, RFQs, and grant opportunities. * Set up and manage our government vendor profiles (e.g., SAM registration, GSA positioning, and other applicable portals). * Develop and refine company capability statements and supporting documentation. * Ensure all compliance requirements are met for submissions. * Prepare and submit proposals, bids, and applications for government contracts. * Advise on positioning strategies to improve win rates **Requirements:** * Government Contracting Experience in the technical field, specifically in the website development and AI field * 1–3\+ years working with federal, state, or local government contracts * Demonstrated experience identifying and responding to RFPs / RFQs / RFIs * Proven involvement in at least 1–3 successful contract awards (even small wins matter at this stage) **Platform Proficiency** * Hands\-on experience using: * SAM.gov (registration, opportunity search, compliance) * GSA (General Services Administration) schedules/platforms * Local/state procurement portals (varies by region) * Ability to set up and optimize vendor profiles (UEI registration, NAICS codes, certifications) **Proposal Development Skills** * Ability to independently: * Interpret solicitation requirements * Prepare compliant proposals * Write capability statements * Compile supporting documentation * Strong technical and business writing skills **Compliance Knowledge** Working knowledge of: * FAR (Federal Acquisition Regulation**)** basics * Proposal formatting and submission compliance * Ability to follow instructions precisely (this is critical in government bids) We are seeking someone who is highly familiar with government procurement processes and can independently manage the end\-to\-end application cycle—from opportunity identification to submission. Pay: $15\.00 \- $20\.00 per hour Work Location: Remote
