You’ll have the chance to make a lasting impact on the lives of high school students by supporting them with your unique insights and experiences. **About Us** Appa Health pairs teens with near\-peer mentors who truly “get it.” We’re a collaborative team of mentors, clinicians, and technologists delivering **virtual, evidence\-based mentorship** to teens across California. All mentoring happens online — via chat and video — making it easy to show up for teens from anywhere. In addition to making a meaningful impact on teens who may not have another trusted adult, you’ll be supported by a world class team of mentors who learn and grow together. We believe that this work is more important than ever! **Who We’re Looking For:** We’re hiring near\-peer mentors based in **California**, with a strong preference for **Spanish\-speaking mentors** and those interested in pursuing or already holding **Certified Wellness Coach** (CWC) credentials. We also encourage multilingual candidates to apply, as language access helps us better support teens and families from diverse communities. We’re looking for mentors who bring empathy, curiosity, and a deep commitment to supporting teens \- whether through lived experience, professional background, or both. **About the Role** As an Appa Mentor, you’ll build meaningful relationships with teens aged 12–19, helping them develop critical life skills and emotional tools. Your shared lived experience becomes a bridge to connection and growth. Mentors may also have the opportunity to support special initiatives and research partnerships, such as Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR). These opportunities help Appa, our partners, and the broader research community better understand the impact of mentorship, strengthen our mentorship model, and expand access to evidence\-informed care for more teens. **What You’ll Do:** * Build trust and offer weekly support via chat and 1:1 video sessions * Lead conversations that promote resilience, confidence, and well\-being * Use Appa’s weekly content in ways that feel accessible and relevant to teens * Help teens set and follow through on goals * Respond to teens within 24 hours Monday \- Friday during the work week * Participate in weekly consultation groups with other mentors for guidance, support, and skill\-building * Collaborate with the Appa team, and research partners to strengthen our mentorship model and impact * Participate in special projects and research collaborations, such as SBIR, by
