Facilities Site Security & Infrastructure Engineer Site Security & Infrastructure Engineer – Job DescriptionOverviewThe Site Security & Infrastructure Specialist is responsible for the design, implementation, maintenance, and support of security, surveillance, network, and life-safety systems across all company locations. This role ensures operational excellence by managing camera systems, alarms, access control, network hardware, cabling infrastructure, remodels, new store openings, acquisitions, and site closures. The position also provides 24/7 support for critical incidents while collaborating with cross‑functional teams, external vendors, and on‑site personnel.Key Responsibilities1. Security Systems ManagementVerkadaMaintain Verkada camera and alarm systems across all sites, ensuring device uptime, health, and analytics functionality.Manage alarm schedules, codes, cleaning crew access, and response configuration.Configure access control devices and permissions for sensitive rooms.Create and manage sites in the Verkada portal for device assignment and licensing.Collaborate with Verkada support to resolve device bugs, firmware issues, and platform inconsistencies.Ensure appropriate site contacts are configured to receive alarms and event notifications.MerakiMaintain Meraki camera and switching infrastructure to ensure optimal device performance.Monitor switch health, power draw, and connectivity.Configure switch ports for various device types and run cable diagnostics via the Meraki dashboard.Support troubleshooting of network-related camera and device issues.ADT & Third‑Party Security ProvidersCoordinate with ADT and other vendors to maintain alarm and access control hardware at select locations.Oversee access control health and ensure proper function of secure room door hardware.Manage alarm system transitions for acquisitions, including removal of legacy equipment and installation of updated solutions.2. Construction, Remodels & New Store DeploymentsRemodelsCoordinate low‑voltage contractors based on site layouts and project timelines.Request bids, schedule cabling work, and oversee contractor performance.Arrange technician support for terminations, switch connections, and device setup.Re‑establish network services and verify user access after remodel.Coordinate equipment shipments and procurement through warehouse and vendors.Confirm correct device placement, camera aim, and system configuration.New Stores & AcquisitionsDesign indoor and outdoor camera and alarm layouts based on unique site needs.Determine equipment requirements including switches, racks, UPS units, amplifiers, and speakers.Coordinate low‑voltage contractors for cabling based on site dot maps.Manage installation timelines with project managers.Oversee equipment setup, device port assignments, camera aiming, and system configuration.Provide installation guides and scope of work to technicians.Train site contacts on camera and alarm portal use.Coordinate with Dish Network for sound system requirements.Complete new store readiness checklists and ensure full operational status before opening.ClosuresWork with voice and network teams to inventory all removable equipment.Coordinate returns to the Denver warehouse and other designated locations.Schedule field technicians for safe and orderly equipment removal.Partner with network teams to ensure devices are properly deactivated before removal.3. Site & Employee SupportEnhancement Requests & Issue ResolutionTriage and resolve requests in Support Desk+, including access issues, cabling changes, port configurations, and device troubleshooting.Schedule technicians and communicate with on‑site personnel to ensure successful service delivery.User Access ManagementPartner with Active Directory personnel to manage SCIM groups and automation enhancements.Grant and troubleshoot user access to camera, alarm, and security portals.Remove or update user permissions based on role changes or location transfers.Assign access control permissions based on job title and responsibilities.Device Troubleshooting & ReplacementDiagnose offline devices, cabling problems, PoE issues, UPS battery failures, and connectivity interruptions.Coordinate with vendors, ISPs, power companies, and internal teams for down‑site emergencies.Arrange replacement parts, schedule technicians, and ensure full system restoration.24/7/365 On‑Call SupportParticipate in a rotating on‑call schedule to support emergencies including theft, equipment failure, weather events, network outages, and alarm incidents.Monitoring & Alarm ManagementCollaborate with monitoring companies to resolve false alarms and monitoring discrepancies.Establish location-specific monitoring standards and adjust system settings to reduce unnecessary dispatches.Incident Footage ManagementRetrieve, review, and archive footage for incidents and provide documentation to site leadership and Risk Management.DocumentationDevelop clear internal and external documentation for
