This is a brand new and exciting opportunity where you will be given full autonomy and ownership for business development and client relations activities for Clinical Supplies Management Services.This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior BDM operating in Clinical Supply Sales who is looking to progress to BD Director level or a BD Director seeking more autonomy in their role.Key Responsibilities:Identify prospective clients and contacts, generate sales calls and schedule meetings, coordinate and attend sales presentations to clients and prospective clientsSell Clinigen Clinical Supplies Management solutions to qualified contacts and perform solutions based presentations to current and prospective clientsEnsure all clients are knowledgeable about Clinigen Clinical Supplies Management services through sales and marketing efforts that include regular sales calls to develop relationships and formal presentations with prospective clientsObtain new requests for proposals and forward them to the Contracts & Proposals team for processingPartner with the Contracts & Proposals team to ensure contracts including CDA’s, MSA’s, quotes and work orders meet required timelinesRespond to all client needs and follow through on all requestsPartner with Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs to schedule auditsParticipate in industry conferences and tradeshows to meet prospective clients and increase industry awareness of Clinigen Clinical Supplies Management servicesAssist with the development of marketing materials, messages and sales campaigns as neededProvide ideas and solutions for future business development endeavors and pursue opportunities that will lead to increased salesMeet with the Business Development team to communicate new business leads, scheduled sales trips, business/client issues, signed contracts and other relevant informationRequirementsA thorough understanding and background in Clinical Supplies and Business Development principles and processes5+ years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical industryDegree in Business, Marketing, Communication or relatedExcellent knowledge of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry related to clinical supplies processesAbility to actively pursue assignments, evaluate situations, adapt to change and make decisions in a timely mannerSuperior verbal, written and interpersonal communication skillsDetail oriented and self-motivator who takes the initiative to work independently and within a teamHigh regard for confidentiality in dealing with all clients, proprietary and pharmaceutical related informationHigh level of interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively across the organization and outside the organization with customers, suppliers, legal counsel, and affiliates both domestically and internationallySelf-motivated with exceptional time management skills to prioritize work and meet deadlinesAbility to develop effective working relationships with associates at all levels to influence others and foster a cooperative work environment across the organizationThis is an excellent and rare opportunity to make an impact within a leading pharmaceutical services provider and play a fundamental role in building something bigger.
