**Overview** We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic finance team. This opportunity is perfect for a proactive professional eager to make a significant impact within a fast\-paced, growth\-oriented organization. **Duties** * Prepare, review, and file federal, state, and local tax returns with precision and timeliness, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. * Conduct detailed tax research on issues such as estate planning, securities law, LIHTC (Low\-Income Housing Tax Credit), and other relevant areas to inform decision\-making. * Collaborate with internal teams on financial report writing, interpretation of financial statements, and regulatory reporting to support accurate financial disclosures. * Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation, explanations, and support related to tax positions and financial data. * Support SOX (Sarbanes\-Oxley Act) compliance efforts by implementing internal controls related to tax processes and ensuring adherence to corporate accounting standards. * Manage complex accounting tasks including double entry bookkeeping, balance sheet reconciliation, general ledger accounting, and account reconciliation. * Utilize accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero, or similar platforms for accurate bookkeeping, payroll processing, and financial analysis. * Participate in mergers \& acquisitions due diligence by analyzing financial data and assessing tax implications to support strategic growth initiatives. * Contribute to financial planning activities by analyzing budgets, forecasts, and investment opportunities within the scope of tax considerations. * Maintain up\-to\-date knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles), securities law, non\-profit accounting standards, and other relevant regulations affecting financial reporting. **Experience** * Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field; CPA certification strongly preferred. * Extensive experience in public accounting or corporate tax accounting with a proven track record of handling complex tax issues across multiple jurisdictions. * Demonstrated expertise in estate planning, wills \& trusts law, LIHTC programs, and regulatory reporting requirements. * Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, Xero or similar platforms; experience with financial software for analysis and reporting is essential. * Strong understanding of GAAP standards along with technical accounting skills including asset management and private equity considerations. * Excellent analysis skills with the ability to interpret financial concepts accurately while
