Our mission is to make consistent, early, and preventative care the standard for youth and young adults impacted by child welfare — reducing crisis escalation, improving family stability, and creating measurable value for states and Medicaid partners.Role SummaryAs an Associate Virtual Therapist with Here Now Health, you will provide compassionate, trauma-informed mental health care to youth ages 5–26 and their caregivers. You will support clients navigating instability, system involvement, and complex trauma, often across multiple placements or life transitions.This role includes structured clinical supervision toward independent licensure and is designed to support both strong client outcomes and meaningful professional growth within a relational, mission-driven care model.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide virtual one-on-one therapy to youth and caregivers using evidence-informed, trauma-focused modalitiesConduct clinical assessments and contribute to collaborative, measurement-based care plansBuild relational continuity across transitions, supporting clients through placement or life changesPartner with non-clinical Care Advocates to coordinate wraparound support and access to servicesOffer caregiver support sessions to strengthen family stability and outcomesMaintain timely and accurate clinical documentation aligned with Medicaid and telehealth standardsParticipate in weekly supervision, team meetings, and required trainingsProvide support during moments of escalation or crisis in alignment with trauma-informed care practicesEngage in peer consultation and cross-functional collaboration with clinicians and care team membersWhat Sets This Role ApartLow caseloads designed to prioritize depth, trust, and sustained engagementThe opportunity to serve youth and caregivers often excluded from traditional care models, including those without stable placements or consistent caregiversDedicated clinical supervision and mentorship toward full licensureA team culture where lived experience in foster care, kinship care, or system involvement is valued and welcomedAn integrated care model connecting therapy with caregiver support, care coordination, and advocacyWhat You NeedMaster’s degree in social workActive provisional or associate-level license in Virginia (LMSW) — clinical supervision provided.Experience providing therapy or support to children, adolescents, or families (internship experience welcomed)Familiarity with trauma-informed and culturally responsive careInterest in serving youth impacted by foster care, adoption, family preservation, or juvenile justice systemsComfort working in a virtual environment and using telehealth platformsCommitment to relational, equitable, and person-centered careAbility to complete background checks required by Medicaid and/or child welfare systemsStrong plus: bilingual Spanish/English, multi-state eligibility, or prior Medicaid experienceLicensure GrowthHere Now Health provides clinical supervision toward independent licensure, included as part of the role. We support licensure advancement and professional development aligned with state requirements.Compensation & ScheduleFull-time, salaried role based on a 35-hour workweekSalary range: $50,000–$60,000 annually, based on licensure stage, experience, and relevant expertiseSalary includes 22 hours per week of required client-facing (billable) care, plus supervision, documentation, and non-client clinical responsibilities to total 35 hoursAssociate therapists may have the opportunity to provide up to 5 additional client-facing hours per week beyond the required 22 hours, compensated at $40/hour, with approval
Up to an additional $200 per week, andUp to an additional approximately $10,000 per year, if consistently workedAvailability requirement:
